Had a nosy on their website but they are very secretive about it so I’m guessing it’s expensive?
The one nearest us has an outdoor pool I would love to go to but not if it’s ££!
Anyone a member?

I did a 14 Days for & £24 trial but membership is about £80 per month.

TeenTimesTwo · 25/07/2019 20:13

We pay £2k annually for 2 adults and a teen. No racquets.
Luxury but lovely.

Sciurus83 · 25/07/2019 20:14

It depends where you live, when I was in Hull I paid around £50-60 per month and they had an outdoor heated pool. Moved, new one was £20 more and no outdoor pool....nope!

Sciurus83 · 25/07/2019 20:14

That was with rackets

Bloodycats · 25/07/2019 20:17

Jeez Louise, no wonder they are so secretive! Think I’ll stick to the paddling pool Grin

£50/month no racquets. Apparently it’s the cheapest rate they do due to the location of the club.

Fatted · 25/07/2019 20:17

I used to be a member ages ago (North West) and it was expensive. I'm sure it was around £60 with an employer discount.

Pure gym now is £20 without all the nonsense. It doesn't have a pool but I never used it much anyway.

MakeLemonade · 25/07/2019 20:18

About £120 per month here - Surrey/SW London border.

Bloodycats · 25/07/2019 20:20

I have a free gym membership to a different gym but I really fancied the outdoor element to this one. I am up north but doubt it will be much cheaper.

Thanks for saving me the embarrassment of ringing them!

How much does the crèche cost?

WineGummyBear · 25/07/2019 20:21

Friend pays £100 a month...

RosaWaiting · 25/07/2019 20:23

I think it’s £80 a month without tennis.

RagingWhoreBag · 25/07/2019 20:24

My DP pays about £100 for himself, platinum membership including rackets and towels, then I'm about £50 and our DCs are £33 each. Shock

Its bloody extortionate and I certainly couldn't justify it just for myself, but he has a friend who goes so they play tennis and go to the gym together, which helps to motivate him to get up at 6am - if he went on his own I think he would bail a lot more often!

Its great to be able to play badminton, swim, use the gym etc with the kids - its got us all up and about in the evenings/weekends and its given me a place to relax, as they have a lovely spa area with hot tub, steam room, sauna etc and a really nice cafe. I always choose hotels with a spa/pool so its like being on a spa break permanently!

I didn't think I'd use it much, but I go most days at the moment and the outside pool has been amazing in this weather. Its like being on holiday all year round, and given how much that costs, its actually good value!

And no, I don't work for them, just a happy and enthusiastic new member who fortunately doesn't have to pay for her own membership Grin

SadieSue29 · 25/07/2019 20:24

We pay £185 a month for two adults and child membership, we have the platinum membership. My partner gets a discount through work.

Crèche is £5 an hour. Lots of clubs for my sons age which is 8.

SadieSue29 · 25/07/2019 20:26

Also to add we use it a lot due to the cost to justify it.

Also my partner works away so he can use it at different locations which works well for us.

We've been to the outdoor pool 3x this week and have tennis booked for Saturday.

MakeLemonade · 25/07/2019 20:26

Depends on age for the crèche, if too small for own membership and kids club it’s about £6 for a session I think but I can’t quite remember. I always found it quite tough to get a space too, the ratios are good but that means they can’t accommodate that many babies and toddlers - that may not be the case everywhere though.

iMatter · 25/07/2019 20:28

I pay £81 a month.

It's not cheap but I'm there literally every day.

I don't have tennis membership.

georgialondon · 25/07/2019 20:42

It's over £100 per month

chilledteacher · 25/07/2019 20:44

£274 a month for two adults and two children platinum membership. Crèche an extra £5 a session.

fancynancyclancy · 25/07/2019 20:48

Creche sounds quite reasonable. DH & I pay £130 for Virgin I think, I just googled though & my nearest club is 4 miles away, that’s too far particularly taking into account traffic. :(

fancynancyclancy · 25/07/2019 20:49

And I pay about another £20 a month for other drop in classes.

Ofalltheginjoints · 25/07/2019 20:50

About £116 a month for DP and I including tennis (price increased recently but it’s in that area).

We’re in NE and my home club does have an outdoor pool, the club closer to my home is more expensive by almost double but I play a lot of wheelchair tennis so my home club is better accessibility wise for me.

Expensive but it includes all classes and it is a nice environment

InsideNumber10 · 25/07/2019 20:52

I did a 2-week trial at the one near us. I liked the crèche, which was £5 an hour (open maximum of 2 hours in the morning) and some of the kids activities in the afternoons were free and fun.

The fees were about £115 a month per adult (that was the basic, not including towels) and £30 a month for age 3+.

The gym and indoor pool weren’t anything special. I did like the kids’ soft play area and the lounge/cafe. We didn’t join, as we’re both working FT and I don’t think we will get time to make use of it (maybe once on a weekend). The sales team kept calling to check up though. I had to tell them I’d call them if we change our minds

Neron · 25/07/2019 21:23

Have a couple's membership with DH, works out about £78 each a month with racquets but not towels

Yaflamingalah · 25/07/2019 21:27

We had a look around last year and were quoted £150 a month for a joint membership for me and DH (without racquets) What I really objected to was that they wanted £40 per month each for the DC who were only 6 and 4, so all they could really do was swim.
