To feel overwhelmed by one year old?

Love my Dd with all my heart obviously..but when does it start to get a little easier, if it does at all?
Probably just a bad day after no sleep, but it’s just constant 🙈 She doesn’t sleep easily so sleeps with me, even on my lap for naps through the day so I have no time whatsoever..is this normal and I just need to suck it up?
I feel like I don’t even have space to think 🤷‍♀️Dp and I rarely have chance to talk and as we have no family around, we haven’t been on our own or out etc yet.
I knew things would change but I thought they may ease a little?
Do you ever get time/space to yourself? If so..how?!

Thanks all, good to know I’m not the only one 💜 was feeling guilty for just wanting a bit (or lot sometimes!) of time alone, it’s a tricky adjustment at times.

I promise it gets easier. At 1 my DD would only nap with me too - then suddenly at 14 months she started going down in her cot and napping by herself. Keep trying - although maybe not while the weather is this hot - and eventually it'll click. And I promise it gets easier. The more independent they get, the more time you get to yourself. And you are not unreasonable for feeling overwhelmed. They're overwhelming. Also ignore anyone who says it gets harder. It doesn't.

My DC is 15 months today and is an 'easy' baby and it's hard work so I really feel for you. DC had to sleep swaddled until 11 and a half months and now has to sleep in a sleeping bag (unless in the car or pram) so doesn't need to sleep on us but I understand the feeling of no time to yourself.

Sorry I am no help but solidarity. Wine
