To start my diet AFTER I eat the French bread?

Went to the shops, bought some delicious-looking baguettes for lunch... on the way back, noticed my vast rolls of flab in the shop window and decided I need to diet NOW (I already knew I was overweight but ewwww).

AIBU to eat the yummy French bread first?

avoidance is an example of toxic dieting. Its you eating food you think you will never eat again in an attempt to be slim when in reality...come on. You never going to eat a fresh crusty baguette for the rest of your life?!

diets dont work. eat the bread.

@FlamedToACrisp sorry. Sometimes the truth hurts Grin

Eat it! You'd be being wasteful not to (we're always being told to cut down on food waste are we not?!) It would also be rude not to because you've just made me hungry! Off to the shops I go! Grin

Ditch the bread, feed it to the birds, you will be doing yourself a favour.

Oooh I can't remember the last time I had french bread! Envy

Ontopofthesunset · 25/07/2019 18:28

Eat it but don't have much else this evening. Have it as your dinner.

Yanbu.
When I went to France I noticed how slim many of the locals are, yet they were always eating bread rolls.
Everything in moderation, I eat at least 4 slices of bread, filled sandwiches every day, I am a size 6/8.

Legally, diets can only start on a monday, so fill your boots for the rest of the weekend and start then! GrinGrin

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/07/2019 20:54

@DeltaAlphaDelta
A small missing detail, they can only start next Monday Grin

DeltaAlphaDelta · 25/07/2019 21:05

@IhaveBrilloHair well quite, they couldn't start last monday could they Grin

Catchphrase · 25/07/2019 21:10

The key is not buying it in the first place.

@FlamedToACrisp Well did you eat the roll? I hope you warmed it up, added real butter with a pack of crisps crushed inside.
Lifes to short OP, enjoy the rolls in life.

FlamedToACrisp · 26/07/2019 14:41

Blush tbh I scoffed the whole thing - one-third for lunch with cheese and salad, one-third for my evening meal with sardine and tomato paste, and one-third for 'supper' with cheese and tomato because er… er… because no one else had eaten it and... er… because I'm a greedy PIG Sad

And I put on 2 lbs Sad

Have a good poo you'll loose the 2lb.
It is very unfair you put on any weight eating a bread roll, can you get a metabolism check up.
Dsis is the same, she is fitter than me, she eats really well, if she has a meal out some wine she'll gain 3lb. It crap for her, she has thyroid problems and autoimmune issues.

I burn off very quick, it is definitely luck of the draw, genetics, hormones, something one of them.
