AIBU or is the weather flattening anyone else?

Since Wednesday or Thursday, I've a heavy weighted sensation in my head. Like my head is weighing me down. I had a whopping headache all day Thursday.

Is it the weather/impending thunder forecast BUT NOT HAPPENING or am I coming down with something?

I usually get a headache before a thunder storm but this sensation is that I feel sluggish and just weighed down. I think it's affecting my BP or something.

Am I stark raving mad or does anyone else feel it? London btw

I genuinely feel it's in the air somehow.

I want your thunderstorm! My weather app says it's coming Tuesday night. Then again, the other app said I would have thunder yesterday. Yet here I am, feeling like I'm under water or something with a whopping headache.

It's hard to describe I guess if you're not susceptible to sensing impending thunder lol.

Was chatting to my Dad earlier (different country) and he said his Mum (my late Grandmother) was the exact same before thunder came... I think I got a lot of her genes in other ways - she could have kept the sensitivity to the weather to herself lol

Yeap affecting me too .Started with a migraine this morning and it is very close here today. Dr has just changed my migraine tablet to a difference triptan .The one i was on had become ineffective as i have been on them for long time .I find when a thunderstorm brewing or it is humid or windy a migraine is guaranteed.

hazeyjane · 22/07/2019 15:36

God it's making me feel like shite.....and the thunder flies can fuck right off.

PinkGlitter123 · 23/07/2019 19:36

Yes, had a bad migraine last week and felt sick on and off with headaches past few days.
Roll on Autumn, hate this weather

timeforakinderworld · 23/07/2019 19:42

Yes, it's awful. Really humid where I am. Today we stayed in all day with the air-con on as too hot to do anything.

Ellieboolou27 · 23/07/2019 20:40

Was 35 today and my girls actually wanted to leave the annual school date early as they couldn't stand the heat!

48 more hours of this sodding heat then it should get better 🤞

Ellieboolou27 · 23/07/2019 20:40

Fate!!!

Thump · 24/07/2019 18:34

My headache and heaviness has lifted, but I'm still a little lethargic. Once it's sunny I don't mind the heat, it's the overcast humid heat that seems to kill me.

I drank a dioralyte rehydation sachet today and it helped my headache and general yukness more than painkillers have. I've been drinking plenty of tea and water but I think I needed the salts etc in the sachet. Was a tip from a friend who swears by them in this weather.

We had a storm last night! South-West, went on for ages, hours of pouring rain and lots of lightening flashes. Quite exciting. Wishing you the same.

EleanorOalike · 24/07/2019 18:50

I’m not coping and I’m already ready for bed. I have a hobby related meeting tonight at 8pm that I was hoping would be cancelled (it’s non urgent) but apparently it’s going ahead and I have to be there - I can’t understand how the others have the energy. I’m a teacher so on holidays and I’ve been sleeping between 9 and 10 hours a night straight through and still waking up tired since the heatwave started 😱.

Ellieboolou27 · 24/07/2019 20:40

@Cablestitch excellent idea! I'm going to have one now as although I'm drowning in water I still feel awful.

39-40 predicted for tomorrow 😩

Mischone · 24/07/2019 21:24

Ditto, and I'm in London too.

Thumping headache Sunday evening followed by throwing up, I haven't been right since. I feel nauseous and very weak and unwell.

Also not sure if it's the weather or a virus, probably the latter but the weather isn't helping Sad

QuestionableMouse · 24/07/2019 21:45

I just ordered some of these www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NGTCKWS/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

No idea how good they are but I've been craving salt. Hopefully they'll help me at work too.

Have a horrible headache tonight. I feel like I'm getting a migraine which is lovely. 😩

Cablestitch · 25/07/2019 13:34

My 9 year old is not coping well with the weather either and suffers from migraines. She started to look migrainey last night and I tried giving her a rehydration sachet instead of painkillers and she perked up really fast. I think they're going to be a vital tool for getting me and her through this. DH and DS are completely fine and loving the weather.....
