Made the decision to start a small business - a mobile, pop-up artisan pizza company. I have absolutely no idea what to call it!! It doesn't necessarily have to have 'pizza' in the name, but I would like it to sound hip and classy. Please help!!

Mystic Pizza
(Like that brilliant film with Julia Roberts)

On a practical note, the 2 pizza vans I've seen seemed quite slow at getting through customers. Long queues that didn't seem to be moving. There was a foodie festival near me that had lots of exciting vans and stands doing fancy BBQ, pizzas, etc. The quality looked amazing but they were all so slow. Meanwhile the regular fairground type burger and hotdog vans were getting through customers 10 times as fast, selling to people like me who came for a great food experience and ended up really pissed off.

Goforitgirl · 20/07/2019 19:39

This is such an amazing idea btw and one I’ve considered myself because I’m an absolute pizza fiend! Would love to hear how you get on with it.

Letthemysterybe · 20/07/2019 19:49

What about giving the van and the trailer names so ending up something like “woody and van”

Hollyhoc · 20/07/2019 19:51

Vanizza
Though as you have an Italian name you should use it. Because I only really trust Italians when it comes to pizza.
Eg:
Pandolfi
Wood-fired artisan pizza ... in a van.

Hollyhoc · 20/07/2019 19:52

Fabulous idea by the way. Best of luck!

Another vote for Slice. It’s short and memorable.

Pizza my ass!

If you're by the sea in Devon/Cornwall
The Ocean Pizza Company
Pizza by the Sea
The Seaside Pizza Shack

malmi · 20/07/2019 19:59

"Pizza Esposito", referencing the Neapolitan pizzamaker Raffaele Esposito who created the Pizza Margherita.

I do think you need pizza in the name, until you're globally recognised, and then you can drop it and just go by "Esposito".

SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel · 20/07/2019 20:04

Out of the suggestions above I love the Campfire Pizza one best, it just has a lovely image to it.
I think if you can add a genuine Italian name to that somewhere or in the tag line underneath that would also sound great. Like Campfire Pizzas by ......

Yogagirl123 · 20/07/2019 20:08

The wood fired pizza company, sounds classy and says exactly what you supply.

Thinkle · 20/07/2019 20:24

Um... ‘Tuck And Trailer’ maybe allows you to diversify
Otherwise a (admittedly crap) play on Fire in the hole... Fire in the dough

Thinkle · 20/07/2019 20:28

Ooh, sorry another one.... as it’s a van and I assume kinda cubic.. ‘pizza box’

There is a lovely Napoletan restaurant where we live called "Rustico". Something like that, an Italian adjective that emphasises your Italian background
