To think I could be pregnant?

I've just taken these. I done the blue one first but I know they're notorious for 'false positives' so tried a pink dye test. Same thing, a squinter of a faint line but with a tinge of colour too.

I'm due on in two days time. I had a feeling so I just had to do a test

Sorry it’s not the result you’d hoped for.

What do you mean when you say you’ve been failed twice re confidentiality?

vbhafjlb · 20/07/2019 16:10

This happened to me. Failed coil.

I had a termination.

I'm not sure it goes on your medical record without your explicit consent, based on the fact that I had a choice over whether my GP would be able to know about my termination.

An abortion won't go on your medical record, I trust places like Marie Stopes/BPAS. It's the NHS I don't trust, particularly hospitals.

Two incidents have occurred in hospitals for me where they've mentioned previous medical history I've previously requested to keep very confidential/should warrant a check with the patient that it's okay to talk about it in front of whoever is with them. No such confidentiality was kept

Sorry, I should have been more explicit.

My termination was performed on the NHS. Medical termination on a locked ward (I had a choice between medical and surgical because I was around 12 weeks before they could fit me in). They were the ones who asked if I would be happy for my GP to have access to the information or if I’d prefer not.

I’m sorry your confidentiality was broken though. That’s really not OK.

@treathertokeepher just remember op its your body, DH can be pissed of all he wants but he doesn't have to carry or deliver the baby and he needs to remember that...

treathertokeepher · 24/07/2019 14:34

Scan today. I had some bloods done on Monday and again today.

We will see if they double or not but they were surprisingly quite high on Monday, in comparison with how faint those tests were.

First responses now coming back as very dark as the control line.

Scan today is to rule out ectopic.

I haven't told anyone I'm here... DH knows nothing. I've just had to beg them to scan me anyway despite me bringing my DC. They've agreed to let the buggy in the room. Been waiting 20 minutes already and so nervous.

Best of luck to you, I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Thanks

Scan confirmed live in utero pregnancy of 5 weeks and 6 days. Fetal cardiac activity present.

Still stunned

I’m so sorry you’re unhappy, OP.

What would you like to do now? X

Catchphrase · 24/07/2019 21:42

I feel for you, what a gut wrenching situation. You're being very strong, it must be hard to shoulder this on your own.

What do you feel could be your next step? I know you say you dread your DH's reaction because it's likely to be opposite to yours, but it could lift the weight and shock a little to tell him?
