I have bad anxiety. I know this phone call was complete bollocks but it's really got to me
My phone just rang from an 0300 number. I answered and had a man's voice telling me that the call is from HMRC and there is a tax fraud case against me and I don't press 1 now then I will be arrested shortly.
I'm going out to collect my DCs from school soon and I can't stop shaking. I'll be OK in a moment but I'm disgusted that people can do this.

Yep, bad scam. My colleague had one, but they called the mobile supplied by the company. She told them it was a company phone, so it would be a bloody great tax bill for the company and would they be arresting the CEO? They knew they'd been rumbled, mumbled fuck off and hung up

Take no notice whatsoever. Its some cunts trying to scam you.. I believe its yapoen3d to a lot of people.
They're just waiting for you to give out your bank details. Under no circumstances do you give out these details. HMRC would never call you in a threatening manner. They'd write a professional letter, and you be g8ven the opportunity to pay back in affordable installments.
Im disappointed that HMRC are not dpung anything to warn people about this scam. Through adverts or letter. They must beaware of it.
