So the Shark when not on sale is the more expensive option! Iv had a Dyson V6 fluffy that died on me last night and it was rubbish for carpet, I do have a corded Shark which is brill but if I am going to spend £350-£400 id rather have ONE hoover!!

AIBU to ask what everyone recommends between the 2 😁

One final query... Is the Shark better than a GTech Air Ram? The hand held attachment on the GTech is useless, just wondering if Shark better. Don’t want to make Dyson any richer either.

Just a little spanner for your works.... I recommended the Vax Blade 2 to a friend after checking the reviews on here (it came top for 2018 in tests) and she LOVES it.

HJWT · 16/07/2019 16:23

@DemelzaandRoss shark is defo better than gtech x

I've just bought a shark cordless on amazon prime day for £199 - currently listed everywhere else at £379.

I have Dyson V10 Absolute and love it. Can't fault it

Onynx · 16/07/2019 16:50

I've had the Dyson v10 since Christmas and absolutely love it. Main problem though is it only comes with one filter
& is a little flimsy.I did look at Shark but gave up because there seems to be so many different models of the duo clean and I couldn't figure out which is best??

homeishere · 18/07/2019 14:09

Singapore is absolutely relevant when it comes to discussing Dyson. As is his blatant hypocrisy.

SunnyCoco · 18/07/2019 14:16

Get the shark, I wouldn't give that arsehole Dyson a fucking penny

HJWT · 18/07/2019 15:29

Thought id update you all!! I got the cordless Shark and compared to my corded version the suction is SHITE!!

Had high expectations and it did not meet them unfortunately

If it makes you feel any better I still have to use my corded Dyson one once a week

Crimson72 · 20/07/2019 09:04

Love my cordless Dyson - it’s so satisfying to see all the dirt and pet hair accumulate in the clean drum at the top Grin

Crimson72 · 20/07/2019 09:05
  • Clear drum!

I've got a cordless Dyson and love it! I've still got a corded Dyson that I bought in 2003, but wanted a stick hoover because I've got a bad back and struggled carrying it upstairs.
My only gripes are having to hold the power button on as I now have arthritis in my wrist and bearing the weight of the unit to hoover the stairs.
