To find the evenings so boring?

I'm so bored of the evening routine. DC dinner, bath, bed, and our dinner. I know that it's just life, but I'm bored to tears.

Is it just me? Some days it's as if I'm just going through the motions. It's so dull.

Have you got a garden that you can sit in and while away the evening listening to the birds?

Could you take up an evening hobby, one where you don't have to leave the house if you're a lone parent, or one where you can go to a club or meeting once or twice a week if you have a dh/p?

Yes it can be boring and I know where you're coming from, but...

When they're a bit older they have the same bedtime as you, so they don't leave you alone - they just plague you all evening with the odd chat but mainly snack visits - and then everyone goes to bed. Now....don't say I didn't warn you and please enjoy the peace you're getting now [runs away] GrinGrinGrin

Update : this evening we went out for dinner with the kids and then took the dog for a long walk at dusk. Feel so much better for being out of the house especially as rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
