Started seeing a new guy recently who seems lovely. We've been out 3 times. He seems interesting, funny, hardworking, polite, respectful...

He is a hairdresser. He has paid me some compliments on my hair. Then said later, via a WhatsApp, "your hair is all mine." I thought it was a little odd and just changed the subject.

What does the MN hive mind think?

Not worth giving this another thought. Concentrate on the “interesting, funny, hardworking, polite, respectful” qualities for now and see how the relationship goes.

That's cute in context not creepy.

He's generally a bit over-keen in those messages for my taste but I don't think the 'your hair is mine' comment is a red flag at all, it's in keeping with the rest of the conversation. Totally understand your caution though, hope it works out for you

Duck90 I think I just have normal hair. I posted a photo on another thread.

Thanks to everyone who has told me not to worry. He does seem very sweet, and genuine (and not creepy). I am away at the moment so have to wait a couple of weeks until we see each other again in person.
