Mind tends to be very clean and tidy downstairs
So always guest ready
ESp with a five min warning

The upstairs can have pies of washing etc that are clean and dry n waiting to go away
So the upstairs tends to be less tidy but people other than us don’t go up there

But when it’s tidy upstairs I feel my head is more in order

normally my house is guest ready clean and tidy, but we are in the middle of moving house so my house at the moment is a shitehole, the spare room has vanished under boxes, and as i will have to deep clean this house from top to bottom i am going to do the absolute minimum this week and then blitz it all in one go when its empty next week

Mines usually tidy. (I tend to do bits as I go along, like do the surfaces while the kettle boils, so it doesnt ever feel like 'work') . I can tell my depression is back when it starts to be a mess, so yes it's a reflection of my usually organised mind.

I’m confused by ‘guest ready’. I wouldn’t be friends with anyone, or want them in my home, if they were judgey about tidiness. My friends come to see me, not a show home. If it’s otherwise, they aren’t really friends. I feel the same when I visit people.
