To wonder what the first ever MN thread was!?

I'm new here, only joined last year. Just been reading through some MN classics, there are a few threads from over 10 years ago but it got me thinking - what was the first thread!?

Sorry to bring it up again but after the first 2 pages of the 9/11 thread, there was a lot of speculation about Israel and Palatine.
It's weird to read with all that hindsight.

I’ve read the first page of the 9/11 thread and have had to stop. It just brings it all back.

I genuinely feel like the world truly changed that day.

Post on one of those ancient links with mumsnetter complaining about her phone bill due to being on the internet so long. Now that takes me back.
