Heres the link - www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-48908133

(Prays it works)

An asian couple give birth to two baby boys that don't look like them at all! Not to mention they were meant to be two girls!!

DNA proved they were not related to the babies and that the boys weren't even related to EACH OTHER

AIBU to think how the f..k does this happen in 2018/19

Sad for those baby boys :( they have grown together and will miss each other so much if they're separated. I hope they a placed together in a loving home

I find this astonishingly easy to believe - I imagine it happens much more frequently than is reported whether by accident or design (in order to obtain a more successful outcome). All anyone undergoing IVF can do is trust in the integrity of the clinic providing the procedure but is there any way at all of knowing that the embryos are yours at the moment of transfer?

That's so sad.

I do find it daft - when you do IUI (or when we did anyway), someone flashes a vial of sperm at you and asks you to confirm it's yours ... which just always strikes me as absurd. What am I meant to do, recognise it?!

It's not as if you can recognise your own embryos.

It is so, so very sad this happened, and definitely not as unusual as it should be.

@Teddybear45, that's a pretty nasty comment I think. I believe they legally do have to give up the babies, because neither is genetically theirs. Absolutely awful and sad, and no need to make out the parents are racist on top of everything else they've suffered.
