To suggest he go to GP - is it rude? (Maybe TMI)

DP has had a consistent problem for months with erections. I feel like sex isn't ever great because he either can't get it up (he puts it down to it being up for too long if we're prolonging foreplay) or it just goes down in the middle of the deed. I can't recall a time in months that he's actually finished from PIV, and only once from anything to do with foreplay, it goes down before finishing.
The only other weird sign is that just before we really get into PIV, he'll say he needs a wee and goes to the bathroom and then comes back, even if it's up from foreplay before then.
Sorry if this is TMI, don't think I've been on long enough to post in sex topic and obviously name changed.
I'm just starting to feel like there's either a problem or it's me!!! For reference, it can't be age, he's 29!

He needs to see a GP, definitely!

newmomof1 · 08/07/2019 18:06

He should definitely see his doctor

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/07/2019 18:09

What's he doing in the bathroom?
It can't be viagra that's far too late.

He must be having a ferocious wank to help?

namechange90000 · 08/07/2019 18:22

@DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou honestly I was hoping someone would have a clue and suggest something because I'm always left feeling awkward and unsure what's going on!

Everyone on here usually blames men's erection problems on the fact they spend too much time masturbating over porn.

Is there any medication he's on or any physical or mental health problems at the moment? If not he definitely needs to see the GP.

Have you spoken with him about it? Is he able to finish through other means? If so it could be psychological rather than physical.

Yes tell him to go to the dr, they may wish to do blood tests.

Missingstreetlife · 08/07/2019 18:37

Prostrate problem? Saw palmetto is a herbal remedy, but he needs to see gp. How old is he, is it a long standing problem or recent?

FertilitySchmertility · 08/07/2019 18:39

You’re sure he’s not having a wank in the bathroom because he’d rather you see him lose his erection that notice his premature ejaculation?

Missingstreetlife · 08/07/2019 18:40

Sorry just seen age and recent problem.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 08/07/2019 18:41

No rude at all. He definitely needs to see a GP as it a sign of a more serious issue.

ShowMeTheKittens · 08/07/2019 19:09

God I wish people wouldn't Google stuff and then cut and paste. Groan.

Yutes · 08/07/2019 20:13

He COULD be watching too much porn. Are you familiar with his wanking habits?

I mean, have you had a frank discussion?
My DP and I had a problem where he would try so much not to orgasm but then neither of us really enjoyed ourselves that way. So we talked it out and had a few quickies to help (over a few days) to help. Sometimes expectation is the root of heartache.

MissConductUS · 08/07/2019 20:17

Does he smoke? This is a really common cause of ED in men, regardless of age. He should still see his GP and get his testosterone levels checked.
