But of a lighthearted thread so no offence intended to nans. I imagine you are all must trendier than me!
Anyway I was having a moan about clothes to my friend and she told me the shops I go to are for woman twice my age and that her nan has some of the same Monsoon tops as me.
I don't follow fashion so shop in high street stores like Monsoon, Wallis, Oasis and Banana republic. I dont have a style per say but dress smart casual for my work which sometimes spills in to my personal life.
I know It was an off the cuff comment but has really made me question my style. Are these 'nan shops'? What shops should a 30 year old professional be shopping in?

I really like number 1 on that list’s bangles, but it is well hard to get your jacket off when wearing that kind of thing.

@MotherofaCat

Ageism is never a lighthearted thing. Like, you know, sexism or homophobia.

Wear what you like - if you like it, you can afford it and it fits, then why not?

Ooh well, I’m the same age as my ds friends’ grannies. I’m not a gran.

Busy lone working parent to a young teen and I don’t have much time (or money) to shop. I’m stuck in a sort of 90’s grunge student thing (even though I was an 80’s student).

I shop where and when I can. So limited. Who really gives a shit though?

I personally don’t like next/Debenhams/Karen Millen/top shop etc and can’t now afford what I like, so stick to jeans and top.

I have never cared how I look to others.

You can pick up a look from just about anywhere if you’re minded to.

Who actually reads your clothes labels?
