Housing and debt (sorry if in wrong place)

So I am currently unable to stay in my current accommodation due to living costs being far too high and only just being big enough to realise it. I suffer from a personality disorder and am currently waiting for an assessment for autism. I am currently signed off so cannot work as well as having to go to weekly therapy session twice a week. I am currently going through quite a big deal with the court and my little one (does not live with me) and all the pressure is getting too much.
I have a plan in place which means moving to a cheaper area 170 miles away in which I've worked out my benefits would cover all of my bills and rent with ease. And yes, before anyone states, i know the area im looking to move to fairly well and it's just a case of calling a few people and seeing what they have available. My whole issue is about d my current tenancy. I was just wondering how and when i will be able to give notice to my landlord about movining out. It states i have a 6 month break clause that started in March. I can't find on it how long the tenancey is meant to be for.
Example. Would i be able to give a months notice tomorrow to move out on this date next month? Or is there more to it than that? Can someone push me in the right way? Xxx

I am able to stay with family for a few months to save a deposit and rent for new address so no need to worry about where i would stay when i hand keys back. It's just a case of not getting myself or landlord into debt etc

Take your tenancy agreement into citizens advice, or get it in front of you and ring citizens advice or shelter.

As long as you know people who will accept full housing benefit and you not working- you’ve got the biggest problem cracked!

You might be able to get out of the clause by forfeiting your deposit.
It depends on what is in your contract, if the location is popular can you advertise for a replacement tenant, run this option by the landlord first, If it is in a popular area they may take a months notice and return your deposit.

Awdome thank you. I will go to citizens advice in the morning to see what i can do! There is a lot of people wanting property here so i guess i could advertise.
Thank you

Hi OP- i can answer this for you if you can let me know the following

Is it an assured shorthold tenancy?
What date did the tenancy start?
Does it say something like this this for a fixed term of (x months)
Does it say that you or the LL can end the tenancy after 6 months (break clause) and if does have this break clause does it tell you how much notice you have to give?

Have a look at Shelter's website.
