So,
As per my previous threads in relationships and Aibu, I am leaving DP because he’s a short tempered arsehole who has spent all my bloody money.

So anyway. I have 2 credit cards in my name that I used to consolidate DPs payday loans etc on.
One is an Interest free jobby with a 4% interest rate after the interest free finished and a £40 minimum payment and it comes from my high street bank
The other is a starter credit card I have had since I was a teen with a 35 % interest rate and a £154 minimum payment

I am in a position where I can move the balance of the shitty high interest card to the high street one, they have offered me two deals, (see attached) but I haven’t got any idea which one is better.

If it helps the total balance will be about £6,200 and I will be paying between £150& £300 PCM

Any savvy people able to help?

Thanks

Brexit.

Sorry should’ve been clearer in my post.
Leaving DP properly, fairly imminently- been staying with a friend and my dog since the weekend.
I could probably get a better deal but I need to close the credit card DP has access to before I leave, as he is spending all my money on 40 lambert and butler and expensive food a day without having a job.
i had read all the replies, before more people started commenting. I just didn’t have much time! Xx

@Isbrexitoveryet good luck with your plans. Honestly, it won't make a huge difference in the first year so don't feel like you have chosen the 'wrong' option. Two other things I would suggest:

I assume it is your credit card with DP as an additional card holder? If so, you can cancel his card tomorrow and still leave your account active until you transfer the balance.

Secondly, wait 3 months after you have cancelled the expensive card and apply for an 0% purchases card (Barclaycard are currently offering one for 27 months). You might only get a small limit but if you put all your purchases on that, it will free up more cash each month to pay off your balance transfer. As soon as the balance transfer card is paid off, you pay of the purchases card (but have a longer 0% period to do this).

No OP dont apply for anything without a pre check- if you have poor credit you wont get the card - small or big credit limit and you could damage your credit further by getting declined! Some funny advice on here sometimes.
