To be annoyed at dh

We have 2 dogs one is 5 years old and the other turned 1 in April.... just now dh woke up needing the loo. And there was poo on the bathroom floor he instantly assumed it was the younger dog and started going on about how he is sick of her and he wants to rehome her...... I too to got up and there is no way In hell it was the younger dog for four reasons.....

  1. The older dog is a 50 kilo dog
  2. The poo was MASSIVE
  3. The younger dog is 22 kilo and
  4. The bigger dog had diarrhoea 3 times yesterday (in the garden) including 11pm last night and we said come lunch time today one of us will pop to him vets if he poo hasn't started to form,

Both dogs are completely house broken and the only time there has ever been an accident is when one has an upset stomach...like the bigger dog has!

I'm pissed off with dh for assuming it was the younger dog....the poo was bigger than her for christ sake and the bigger dog was the one that had an upset tummy yesterday... I explained this and he is adamant it's her... he went, put her in the kitchen and went back to bed. I cleaned the mess and let both dogs to the garden. The poor young dog looked so confused she had been told off and locked in the kitchen for doing nothing.... and while in the garden low and behold......big boy has yet another bout of diarrhoea!!!! I cant help but be pissed with dh he does favour the other dog because this younger one is a bit annoying being younger, but she is a very good dog they both are ....I shouted up to dh that big dog just had diarrhoea again and he can take him to vet later and little dog will not be getting rehomed because he is a grumpy arsehole in the morning!

Gross as it is he messed in bathroom, at least he went to the bathroom and done it on the hard floor... he could of done it on the hall carpet, he has an upset stomach it's one of then things that happens from time to time having dogs they get sick... big dog is now trying to chasing the birds that are flying over the garden and little dog is curled up next to me on the couch.

I dont know why I posted... just needed to vent i think

Vent away. Dogs can be trying sometimes but your DH should bear in mind that any dog HATES to soil it's own territory so the poor thing must have had no other option.
When mine have tummy troubles I find a raw egg whipped up in a bit of milk will settle them. Or scrambled eggs - that works too. But get the poor thing to a vet.
And tell your DH to get a grip.

He is one of them dogs that's has quite a sensitive tummy, so will often have a softer than usual stool, and he will always wake us if he realises he needs to go. He was absolutely caught short poor boy. Dh just got out the shower and apologised for being a twat and fussed both dogs. Particularly the little one he told off.

I usually go with boiled chicken breast and rice or some scrambled egg too to help diarrhoea.
Giving dog untill around 10am before I call vet because as I said it's not unusual for him to have a dicky tum. He had all sorts of test over the years and he is fine has more sensitive stomach than most dogs. Nothing undeying which is good, he will likely get some of that paste stuff . I cant remember what it's called but it usually does the trick within a day.
