Term time work pay

Posting for traffic as I've googled for days and still can't quite work out how to calculate what my monthly take home pay would be if I was to work term time only (41 weeks)

Any geniuses out there?

My annual salary is 28,500 with 30 days leave based on 37 hours per week.

I want to work 25 hours a week 41 weeks of the year.

I can't find any calculators online that are able to work it out!

28,500 divide by 52 = £548.07 divide by 37 = 14.81 (this is your hourly rate)

14.81 x 25 (hours) = £370.32 per week x 41 (weeks) = £15183.12

15183.12 divide by 12 = £1265.26 per month Gross.

I have no idea what your tax code is.

personal allowance is £12,500 so …… 15183 - 12500 = 2683

2683 @ 20% = 536.60 tax per annum (44.72 per month tax)

So roughly £1220 take home - I have no idea what NI levels are

So you currently get paid for 52x37 hour weeks, including holiday pay. That works out at about £14.80/hour. (1924 hours)

You want to work 25 hours x 41 weeks. plus you would be entitled to 110 hours of paid holiday. So at the same hourly rate, that would be £16,783.

Approximately.

The calculation we do in our school is

Hours pw/full time hours/365*days paid per year then multiply by salary

25/37/365311 (I estimate you would be paid 41 weeks plus 24 days holiday - pro rata from 30 days) 28,500 = £16,407.81

Can’t help with the take home as payroll do that bit for us!

Thank you all - who needs google when there is mumsnet!

Basically was trying to work out if it was with it and it is! Child care would cost £350 per month wrap around and 55 per day in the holidays so, looks like it's best to do term time.

Thank you all so much
