Aibu to vacuum my DH?

Gentle (ish) upholstery setting, of course! DH has a lovely furry pelt on chest, back and arms. Whilst I love the look of it, after 30 years I’m a bit fed up of the hair all over the bed and the ceramic floor in the bathroom. Had a lightbulb moment! Wouldn’t it be more efficient to give him a quick vacuum every day or so, rather than the bed and bathroom? I’d ask him first of course.

I say the same thing about the cat Grin if only!

My cat loves to be hoovered.

MyNameIsCharlesII · 02/07/2019 08:56

Why not. Tackle the problem at source.

PrincessSarene · 02/07/2019 08:58

Sounds like a great idea! Assuming he agrees of course. Maybe it would feel a bit like a strange massage?!!

Loyaultemelie · 02/07/2019 09:05

Madcatlady mine too

Just get a grooming glove, then you can combine it with a lovely massage.

AfterSchoolWorry · 02/07/2019 09:08

That's genius!

Rabbitradar · 02/07/2019 09:17

Gummy, massage glove thingy might blur the lines dangerously between household chores and , ahem, other stuff. Don’t want any funny suggestions regarding crevice tool.

My cat loves to be hoovered

Mine tries to scale the walls and run across the ceiling to get away from it. It's so inconsiderate.

Rabbitradar · 02/07/2019 10:26

Ok thanks - if he says it’s ok, will try it later. Might try the grooming glove on the dogs - they are feisty jack russels and attack the vacuum cleaner as soon as I switch it on. If I do vacuum husband, will have to shut them out of the room or it could get a bit fraught.

My parents' cat used to get hoovered regularly. Admittedly this was back in the mid-70s when hoovers weren't as powerful. I used to get jealous as I was too little to vacuum him but it always made me giggle.

As for your husband? Do you have a lawn? You could take him outside and strim him every time the lawn's mowed. Otherwise vacuum on the lowest setting - don't see anything wrong with that.

Rabbitradar · 02/07/2019 12:36

Thanks Jocasta - lowest setting it is!
I know it sounds a bit barmy but so long as he’s up for it and it doesn’t hurt, it could be really time saving.
