I have woken up shaking and feeling fluy. Have not got a temperature but took antiinflamitories and paracetamol at midnight. In on my own and not sure if i should go back to sleep or get medical attention.

I can't imagine that many people (myself included) would seek medical attention for what you have described.

QueenofPain · 02/07/2019 01:58

Can’t see what you need medical attention for, perhaps there are missing details?

If no missing details then have a glass of water and try and go back to sleep.

Honeyroar · 02/07/2019 01:59

If you've got paracetamol and you feel like you can sleep then do. See how you feel in the morning.

IvanaPee · 02/07/2019 02:01

Medical attention? Confused

Go back to sleep.

heath48 · 02/07/2019 02:01

As above, drink some water, you may be dehydrated.Try and sleep.

LudoFriend · 02/07/2019 02:01

Unless you've missed out critical information, like an recent injury that could be infected, or that you have a serious autoimmune disorder then I'd at least wait until morning unless something more serious occurs in the mean time.

Greensheep242 · 02/07/2019 02:02

Thanks am just concerned that i may have an infection as a arround my ear is sore. The antiinflamitories say to inform medical staff they are being taken as can mask a temperature.

It is ossible that i am dehydrated as had dihorhea yesterday. Just feels really wierd to be shivering in these temperatures.

To get medical attention now, at 2am in the morning, would mean you have an emergency that can't wait. There's nothing you're describing that sounds like an emergency.

Even if you do have an ear infection, that's something your GP can sort out tomorrow during regular hours. Low blood sugar might be the reason you're shaky if it's been a while since you ate. Go back to sleep and see how you feel when you wake up.

BitOfFun · 02/07/2019 02:20

You'll be fine. Make an appointment with the GP in the morning if you are in pain.

Greensheep242 · 02/07/2019 02:30

Thanks for the reasurance. The pain does mot feel like an ear infection, but not sure what. I think my concern is cecis or something largely because i feel wierd and confused but would not show the temperature necessarily due to other painkillers.

Lot of ticks where we live...get bites all the time, the whole family. Any tick bites?

Cassort · 02/07/2019 02:53

Ring 111. It's warm tonight. You should not be shivering.

BitOfFun · 02/07/2019 02:58

Shivering is a sign of having a temperature. It is not in itself dangerous. Get some sleep and see how you feel tomorrow.

DidgeDoolittle · 02/07/2019 03:16

I had this following a bout of diarrhoea. Couldn't stop shaking. It had gone after a good nights sleep.

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 02/07/2019 03:17

Go back to sleep and see how you feel tomorrow.

Ceebs85 · 02/07/2019 03:37

If you mean sepsis when you say cecis it's highly unlikely

I had a temperature with tonsillitis recently and felt all shivery, weird and disconnected from reality. Just went to my GP the next day.

Laserbird16 · 02/07/2019 03:55

When I had mastitis I had this. I was shaking so much I dropped my glass of water in the night. I went back to bed with a heat pack and paracetamol and then saw the doctor the next day. He did say I should have gone to hospital but I do live in Oz and I think they are on the cautious side. Try 111 first?
