Probably @BarbarAnna - the BBC only show a fraction of it all, don't they?

Right, I must go to bed, I've got to be up at 6.30! Thanks for the company over the last couple of days everyone!

Grin at Mike Skinner crowdsurfing, that must feel weird!

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:34

Oh here you all are! Sorry think I finished the last thread. The Cure was brilliant! Think he was quite overwhelmed at the end by the fabulous response, that was amazing!

BrilliantFriend · 30/06/2019 23:34

I was catching up on Killing Eve and missed The Cure

Old fogeys in our house very much enjoyed Christine and the Queens, though.

Jellykat · 30/06/2019 23:35

Sleep well Shiny

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:35

I've loved this thread all weekend, we should get together again next year and maybe the OP will come and join us!

BarbarAnna · 30/06/2019 23:35

I have got to go to bed too but feel too hyped! Wasn’t even there! Night all.

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 23:35

I'm watching Christine and the Queens now. Mike Skinner ain't for me!

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:36

Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe waiting for the Shady Pines bus to come and collect them. 😆

Jellykat · 30/06/2019 23:39

Doubt it Round, we're waaay too old to hang about with..

Enjoying The Streets now!

PotsOfJoy · 30/06/2019 23:40

Doubt there would have been an encore. They're pretty strict on switching off times on the main stages.

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 23:44

Yeah you could see the crew spring onto the stage immediately to dismantle everything.

PickAChew · 01/07/2019 00:00

It's good to see Mark looking so well, tbh.

Roundtheislands · 01/07/2019 00:01

It's a shame there wasn't an encore, last act of the whole weekend. Bet he doesn't sleep tonight either x

barcodescanner · 01/07/2019 00:10

I was at Crystal Palace too.

Cannot ever fault The Cure live

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/07/2019 00:10

Shame no Lovecats but it was an amazing set and they crammed in as many songs as possible with no pesky "helloooooo Glastonbury!!!" timewasting. Took me back to my youth.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/07/2019 00:11

Yay! Another one @barcodescanner!

ShinyMe · 01/07/2019 17:00

My stewarding student did not back it in. I rang him and he is still there, doing one more shift apparently. I told him I'd been watching.

I caught a bit of this Chistine lady and her dancers before I went to bed, she looked fab, so I will definitely check her out

Just back from Glastonbury - DP has been 15 times before, I have now been four times and can just about tolerate it. HOWEVER, this year we had our DCs (6 and 8) with us - to sum it up, if I was threatened with being boiled in oil I STILL wouldn't agree to do it again.

Never mind worrying that it was going to be a washout, then desperately trying to keep then from heatstroke and sunburn, never mind four of us in a tiny tent, never mind the complaining - 'I have blisters', 'I lost my doll', 'it's too hot - and, somehow, we're not going to mind the fucking toilets. It's that I paid the better part of £300 for a music festival ticket, and didn't get to sit through single full set!

I'm sure it was a great experience for SOMEONE, but that person wasn't me.

Harrumph.

ShinyMe · 06/07/2019 21:00

For those of us who enjoyed The Cure - do you all know that the Hyde Park concert is being show in cinemas this week? We should have a mumsnet outing.

WrenNatsworthy · 07/07/2019 08:52

I was there, they didn't play Lovecats, but I didn't care.

They played Just Like Heaven and A night like this, which are my favourites.

I just tried to read the previous thread but it got deleted, gutted!

HateIsNotGood · 07/07/2019 23:03

Just an old fogey checking in - not been to Glasty since c1982 when Judy Tzuke played - because I thought it was getting too commercial Grin!

Anyhoo, The Cure could pretty much stand there and I'd be happy but totally Christine and the Queens and her "Girlfriend" were the top act for me (as I watched the highlights from my sofa).
