To not go to the dentist every 6 months?

I've been religiously every 6 months for year, but never need anything done. The dentist looks in my mouth for 39 seconds, says 'all good' and charges me £30. It's nice to have piece of mind I suppose, but I'm wondering if every 6 months is necessary, or if I can get away with going once a year?

My NHS dentist decides when next check up is needed
It can be anywhere between 3 and 12 months depending on your teeth

I don't have an NHS dentist... they're like hen's teeth around here!

It’s always 6 months for us.
Would like some time off for good behaviour on account of never needing anything doing, but I need to carry on setting a good example to the kids for another few years

As someone who has suffered toothache, I recommend continuing with 6monthly checkups. Honestly the pain is not worth the risk and you would pay far more than £30 to make the pain go away

I didn't go for over 10 years, all good apart from a little sensitivity, which is why I went. Brush twice a day, floss, limit sugar and you should be ok with once a year deffo.
