To not buy new pillows

DH saw a YouTube video and apparently you should buy new ones every 6 months.

Ours are 2 years old and fine, I think this is all just capitalism and it's filthy lies.

The mattress? As it can't be dry-cleaned weekly, I wouldn't keep mine for more than a month.

Hmm

I have these expensive pillows (which btw was worth every single penny!) I’m quite poorly so spend a lot of time in bed (we also splashed out quite a bit on a mattress for the exact same reason). I brought them about a year ago and would be horrified to rebuy then in a year!

You sleep on your mattress more than once Earl, that's disgusting.

I have a new one delivered every morning and the old one taken away. It's the only way to maintain good hygiene.

You are right Barbara I feel like a slattern now.

I don't think it is necessary to wash them if you used a zipped, thick pillow protector as I do

SamBeckett

I am absolutely appalled and ashamed on your behalf! Shock

Earl, Sam and Barbara I always buy a new oven when mine gets dirty. I tried to exchange my dirty toddlers once but I couldn't find any clean ones.
