To ask if you've ever been to a concert with a teenager?

Someone has gifted me and my 17 year old DD tickets to see my favourite band in August. DD seems quite happy and excited as am I but the band is quite popular with teenagers. A few other oldies do like them but I'm just slightly worried DD will be a bit embarrased when we go. I mentioned it to her and she laughed and said "It's not as bad as (a friend of mines DS) going to heavy metal with his nan for his 16th". Which actually happened.

Am I worrying too much? Have any of you been to concerts with DC of a similar age? The concert is in a small venue (a country hall's theatre room) and inside.

been to loads with my two DD sometimes both, sometimes with DH too, and we always have fun. I've been with them, too, IYSWIM? Metallica recently played near us, there were loads of people who were there with their parents and children.

@KikiMoo tbf I don't know if it's a genuine word, it just irks me. along with "unboxing".

it may well be grammatically correct for all I know Grin

I went to loads of gigs with my now PILs as a teen, still do now. Went to a couple with my parents too. They were all bands that were about before my time though that they were already into.

I've been to lots with dd17.
Saw Tom Walker a couple of weeks ago. We have a great time. It's great bonding time.

Me, my mum and my daughter went to see Take That.
We had a grand old time. Smile

I brought mine to a heavy metal concert recently. It was an outdoor, all day, festival type of gig. He assures me he wasn’t embarrassed!

You're overthinking this, I go to loads of gigs, some with ds and dd some not, never been embarrassed and I see plenty of others doing to same. Just don't jump up and down and scream when others aren't. Lol

How else do teens afford expensive stadium gig tickets if they're not going with their parents?!!
I've seen more bands with my teens then I did when I was younger. We've seen Muse, Foos, Ozzy, Green Day... and plenty of little local gigs with unsigned bands.
