I'm in my mid-20s so no wrinkles yet. I don't get breakouts, but I have large pores, especially on my nose. Skin isn't at all sensitive.

My skin is decidedly oily, but I get these flakey bits especially around my cheeks, temples and eyebrows, and the tip of my nose.

Any clever skincare tips? It's driving me mad!

Have a look at The Ordinary skincare range. It’s amazing and cheap and one can customise the reigime.

I had some bits and pieces from them - I still love their acid peel, but overall I found that I hate having a skincare regime that includes 948757829485748957 products Grin

I have same skin as you OP. I use a mix of dermalogica and body shop products. Check their skin defence range. This is particularly good

Super cheap and simple and Sali Hughes, aka skincare queen, is a fan - Superdrug's skincare! Get their glycolic acid cleansing pads from the Naturally Radiant range and the Simply Pure night serum, if you can only be bothered with a clue of products these are a pretty good combo. The cleansing pads will help exfoliate your face and the serum is full of squalane and hyaluronic acid and other moisturising stuff, so it's well worth the fiver-ish (and they're always on two for one)!

I take makeup off with cleanser and then the pads, serum and then moisturiser at night, and in the morning just water and then moisturiser so nothing fancy. After months of peels and serums and masks and every expensive thing going, turns out 3 items that cost me least than a tenner altogether are what I'll stick to and work for me!

I have similar skin (oily but also dry) and have learned to use oil on my skin and it's been a revelation; it doesn't make the oily bits more oily, if anything it balances those bits out and the dry bits are gone.

I double cleanse morning and night, apply an oil based serum (Elemis pro-collagen super serum) and my skin is lovely, bright and rarely needs anything more than a quick once-over with makeup. I use DR Dennis Gross Alpha Beta pads once or twice a week as they exfoliate everything and get my skin looking clean and flake-free (build up from the normal strength to the super strength ones, though, as they can sting if you go straight in for the super ones) but beware that you'll need an SPF if you're using them before spending much time outdoors. It's a low-maintenance routine but seems to keep my skin happy.

Sorry, its DermaQuest not Dermalogica!!
I sometimes feel like I should be using more products because everyone seems to be using multiples! However my skin is best it's ever been.
Morning: DermaQuest DermaClear Cleanser, the body shop moisturiser linked to above
Night time: the DermaClear cleanser

And that's it!
