I give birth to a baby boy on Tuesday and no one seems to care about me or him. I. Want to share my birth story if that’s ok ?
I went into hospital on Monday after my waters broke to get things going but it wasn’t until 5pm on Tuesday that I went into labour I used gas and air though out and at 9.40 I started pushing with my dh by my side dd was born at 9.55 without forceps or tearing he was perfect and cried before he was put on me and breastfeeding has come naturally to him. My bleeding was normal he didn’t need any time in nicu it was perfect. I haven’t laboured well before both times it was the complete opposite of what happened this time. I finally have a newborn I can enjoy without the worrying and I want to tell everyone:)

Congratulations, op. I, too, felt a little bit like everyone forgot me after I'd had the baby. It was rare anyone asked me how I was.

Well done you, enjoy the cuddles.

ElectricLions · 28/06/2019 22:28

Huge congratulations Flowers

Like you my first labour wasn't great and ended in a rushed EMCS, Ds2 was born by ELCS and so different. No alarms sounding, no failed delivery, no worried staff/Dh/me. So much more positive.

Enjoy those magical moments with your baby. I am glad it went well for you.

Our first was a footling breech and we had very few visitors but he’s 21 now and precious as newborn snow. Congrats on your DS ❤️

Congratulations. Are you happy to post a picture of your bundle of joy?

SarahAndQuack · 28/06/2019 22:47

Oh, what an absolutely lovely post to read! You snuggle that gorgeous baby, and tell yourself that whoever these people are who aren't interested, are idiots. It's wonderful to read a story of a good labour, and don't ever think no one wants to hear it. People need to hear these good stories.

Mrs9C · 28/06/2019 22:47

Thank you for sharing your joy with us. I witnessed all 4 of our boys come into the world and until it happens to you, it is impossible to describe the elation. They are all in their 30s now but I shall never forget those special moments when they were born and during their early days.

maddieharrison · 28/06/2019 23:01
