AIBU for being angry with Dominos pizza

Put simply, ordered normal pizza for DH, gluten free New Yorker pizza without cheese, extra mushrooms and peppers for myself (dairy allergy), chicken kickers (dairy free) and potato wedges. They have given us pizza for DH fine, potato wedges fine, my pizza missing all of the meat toppings and chicken wings instead of kickers.

I'm starving and really hangry now that I have to wait for correct food to be made. DH had to go out again and his pizza is now cold.

AIBU to be really annoyed with Dominos.

There's long been issues with gluten free dominos, I thought the latest was you couldn't order them online because they had to give you the cross contamination disclaimer in person.

Can't believe someone suggested that you just ate the one with gluten/ dairy in instead, as if anyone would voluntarily eat gluten dairy free dominos if they didn't have to.

iklboo · 28/06/2019 21:08

Never met a single person who doesn’t eat the dip!

Ermmmmm Blush

Celebelly · 28/06/2019 21:11

Eh?! I also buy extra garlic and herb dips so I have some in stock! They are so good

iklboo · 28/06/2019 21:14

The warm cookies on the other hand..........

superram · 28/06/2019 21:14

Everyone eats the dips and sometimes order extra for when we have tesco frozen pizza.

LadyRannaldini · 28/06/2019 21:16

Tesco stone baked are quite good, I usually keep a couple in the freezer in case we're stuck.

CaMePlaitPas · 28/06/2019 21:16

This is a daft thing to be annoyed about, it's Friday night so they are bound to get things wrong due to the demand.

However it's hot and your pregnant so you get a free pass Wink

I eat the dip.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses, there’s at least one other reason to be livid at Pap Johns...

viccat · 28/06/2019 21:25

pastabest eh? OP ordered a gluten free pizza...

pastabest · 28/06/2019 21:32

viccat Yes... I know.

A poster above asked if she was so hungry and pissed off why didn't she just eat the non gluten free one.

Allhailthesun · 28/06/2019 21:38

I never had takeaway pizza until I went to the States. Unfortunately it has set me up for a lifetime of disappointment with our pathetic offerings. YABU buying it quite honestly.
Asda or Morrison’s fresh pizza is way better value and tastes better.

noodlenosefraggle · 28/06/2019 21:52

Well you think ou've got problems? We had an Indian takeaway tonight ( I'm Indian descent so never usually do this) but the kids wanted it. I was forced to say something that my mother says every time we go out to eat and which drives me to the brink of insanity, which is 'I could make all this better myself'. I now hate myself.

LastMinuteInvitation · 28/06/2019 21:54

Italian restaurants do the best takeaway pizzas.

MrsJBaptiste · 28/06/2019 21:56

As an aside, what are the Domino's gluten free pizzas like? DS has recently been diagnosed as Coeliac but loves pizzas so I'm constantly on the hunt for a good GF pizza...

TinklyLittleLaugh · 28/06/2019 22:01

Haha noodle, I make way better pizzas than Dominos. They’re just incredibly overpriced junk food.

Ontheboardwalk · 28/06/2019 22:02

if your DH had to go and collect it and they’d got your order wrong for the second time did he not ask them to redo the whole order again? That’s what I would have done.

Contact customer services they will sort you out. They’ve been great when I forgot --was drunk— and didn’t apply the 40% discount off the pizza. I admitted it was my mistake and the refunded me anyway

Meyoumeanmeh · 28/06/2019 22:04

At over 1,500 cals for a NY pizza YABU for ordering one to begin with Smile

I’m a bit alarmed that you ordered the gluten free pizza -without cheese- for yourself but then listed with your chicken kickers that that they were dairy free but I’m wondering if you realise the kickers re NOT gluten free! 😱

InDreamland · 28/06/2019 22:05

@Pipandmum I hope yoy got your delivery in the end.

@CaMePlaitPas thank you Smile oddly I rarely get takeaway pizza but just fancied it tonight.

@MrsJBaptiste they're okay actually and others I know who also need gluten/dairy free like them too.

I’ve been angry with them since they stopped doing the Double Decadence base. It was lush.

Pinkfinkle · 28/06/2019 22:06

The fresh pizzas from Morrisons are not shite at all, I really like them. Dominos is overpriced shit.

InDreamland · 28/06/2019 22:07

@Meyoumeanmeh I order gluten free pizza because it's the only base that is free from dairy. I am actually okay with gluten, just not dairy. All the other chicken they do has dairy in.

OP posts:
FVFrog · 28/06/2019 22:13

My DS orders extra dips and eat them allGrin

julensaor · 29/06/2019 02:21

gluten/dairy/vegan just make your own. Pizzas are the most overpriced takeaway in existence anyway.

SleepWarrior · 29/06/2019 02:37

Woah, I love cheese on toast and I love pizza (don't about dominoes specifically mind) but they are very different things.

A pizza craving can never be met with cheese on toast. Cheese on toast is for after you've come in from a long afternoon walk in the autumn, or a side for a wintery bowl of vegetable soup. Pizza is for dinners out, or weekend takeaways, or frozen for a lazy midweek tea. There's very little crossover in the pizza-cheeseontoast Venn diagram!

BritWifeinUSA · 29/06/2019 03:16

Dominos pizzas cost £16.99???? Was that a joke or is that true? A medium Dominos pizza here is $5.99. That’s about £4.75.
