Or do other people have weird “psychic” thoughts?

Does anyone else get weird flashes of “foresight”? I don’t really know how to describe it, I wouldn’t say psychic but more and more often lately I find myself thinking about someone or something very suddenly. Later that day, something relating to that person will happen with no warning. It could be someone I don’t really know/haven’t seen for years. Not bad things obviously, just something about them.

My latest one was that last night I went to sleep and I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about an actor and told my boyfriend half asleep “he’s about to announce a play”. This morning I wake up to find that he has. I know he’s an actor and it’s not like he’s announced going to the moon or anything but it’s made me feel a bit woo..

Does anyone else do this? Or is it just hindsight making the thoughts look more specific than they are?

Lifecraft in every conception it was the only time in over a week and definitely the only tubes without contraception so yes I did know

You said you knew you were pregnant immediately after you dtd. But you don't get pregnant when you dtd. Sperm can meet egg a few minutes later but that happens often and rarely will you end up pregnant. You aren't pregnant until implantation, which can be 5-6 days after you dtd.

Ok that it would result in a pregnancy, happy?? And it did. There were many months we were TTC and I'knew' hadn't been successful, yet the youngest DCs were both conceived as one offs. And DC1 was many many months of TTC and miscarriages (which again I 'knew'). Also knew the sex of all of them too

Here's a good one. I get flashes when I'm very connected to someone and they're passionate about something. Two examples:

1 BF at the time told me he didn't have kids. I later get a strong flash from him of a 5yo boy, brown hair, blue eyes. He tells me months later he has a kid - 5yo, brown hair blue eyes

2 landlord was showing me around the main house where I lived (i was in the granny flat). I loved the detail on the ceiling - beautiful flowers in the white plaster work. I looked at it and said it would be beautiful in pastel pinks, greens, blues and yellows. He just looked at me shocked and said that was how it was when he was a kid.

With example 1 i actually described the kid to him when he finally fessed up.

Well that's not what you said initially.

I don't believe a word of it by the way, but you also aren't lying. You've probably embellished it in your mind and now incorrectly look back and have convinced yourself retrospectively. So you genuinely believe you knew each time, but you didn't.

Humans do that. We make very unreliable witnesses of past events.

Pissoffpeppa - in that experiment did the song start playing at the exact same spot the experimentee was at? I've had that happen. Belting out a less common song in my head, get to car, turn on radio, totally in step with me - we could have been doing a duet!

Then of course there's my not so brilliant days when I think, hell this song's been going on forever, only to realise it's playing in my head and the radio isn't on LOL

Chartreuser · 29/06/2019 08:13

But I told DH each time?

hazandduck · 29/06/2019 10:02

@K1233 I have done it a few times when I’m singing a song put the radio on and then after a few minutes the song will come on. I put it down to coincidence!

k1233 · 29/06/2019 10:11

But it was word for word where I was in the song hazandduck Smile I was mid verse
