AIBU to hate our tiny north-east facing paved ‘garden’?

It’s seriously depressing. It’s boiling hot in the middle of the day in the height of summer. Then starts disappears as the sun cools at around 4pm. Then all through winter no sun at all.

I am desperate to move homes but we are a bit stuck at the moment. My DS is 7 and it’s upsetting when all the other kids are enjoying out their back and ours is in the dark☹️

Yes, mine is pretty small (30ft wide by maybe 10-15ft deep) and north east facing. At least we get some sun until about 3/4 pm at this time of year - but I would dearly love to be able to sit in the evening sunshine like the neighbours behind can. We got artificial grass a couple of years back which in theory I disapprove of, but the real grass never gre well due to lack of sunlight and was a lumpy patchy mud fest. It makes the whole space more useable. I feel your pain - I'd love a big sunny south facing garden...
