to unfollow a friend who shares photos of her baby’s poo?

My friend had a baby earlier this weekly and rightly so is thrilled - I’m thrilled for her!
However she is posting dirty poo shots all over Instagram daily, including today when she posted a photo of her baby plastered in mustard shite.
She is also going into extreme poo detail in a group chat and it is nauseating.

I understand the first year of having a baby is full of developments you feel the need to obsess over or share but sheesh, no one wants to see your baby’s poo.

AIBU to unfollow her?

You can definitely stop seeing someone's posts or stories or both

She needs a shrink who enjoys a challenge

The baby is about 3 weeks old.

You can mute stories. I do it often to oversharers!!! Just go on her page and long tap on her stories, the mute option should come up. She won't know

TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 27/06/2019 23:06

You don't need to unfriend her, just opt not to see her posts for a while.

I've definitely come across people who've become fixated on shit when they've had kids. One in particular inspired several child-free parties and at least one wedding with her constant wittering on about poos and stinky bums. It was like being around a toddler.

Just grit your teeth and bear it, she will be too knackered to "give a shit" (Wink) soon.

dollydaydream114 · 27/06/2019 23:39

I had a Facebook friend who did this. I gritted my teeth and ignored the succession of pictures of shit smeared all up her baby's back, but then she shared a video in which the baby puked everywhere and that was the last straw for me.

Durgasarrow · 27/06/2019 23:50

Unfollow. That's disgusting.

PanamaPattie · 27/06/2019 23:54

This is the reason I avoid social media. Fuck sake.

TeaDrinkingBumbleeBee · 27/06/2019 23:57

You can mute on insta so you see no posts but you're still on her following list if you don't want to cause offence...she won't know you've muted either

I would honestly say. Hi Darling, congrats on the baba but i swear if you share one more poo pic i'm temporarily unfollowing you!!! Look forward to seeing all the cute (poo-less) snaps. Lots of tough love Storm
