To think DD and DS can share rooms

DD 10 months has been next to me in our bedroom since birth.
Today I was planning on turning DS room into their room getting DS a toddler bed and DD can have DS cot.

OH is saying no she's too young "even my mum said she's too young" blardy blah.

AIBU? Could do with the extra space in our room.

How does DD sleep? In a different room without the familiar sounds and smells of sleeping next to you it might not be great and could cause a host of problems for DS.
Do you live in a two bed ?

It really depends on how your DD acts.

And yes they can share rooms.

How old is your son? Will he sleep with a baby in his room?

ambereeree · 25/06/2019 12:37

I agree 10 months is young but my 3 year old still sleeps in my my room so maybe not the best person to answer!

She's fine they both go to bed at the same time she's an easy baby no fussing.

We went on holiday for a week and they both slept fine in there room next to each other in the cot.

DS is 2.

i only have one DC, but i've seen a few of my friends choose to put their kids in the same room (ie when they have other spare rooms)

Kids seem oblivious to sibling noise a lot of the time. In my case I'm sure it would help my DS sleep - he has always slept better when there is someone else in the room to keep him company.

I shared with my (older) brother until he reached around 9/10, think it made us closer
