To wonder if this was a lie

The college ds was at wanted to end his placement. They were given something to fill in with what adjustments they could make etc. They didn’t fill this in and as a consequence to this the la directed them to take him back. They then came back and are calming to have bad ofsted report which would have taken place around the 23rd May. I find this a very convenient thing to happen just as they were told to re admit ds. The local authority then decided they wouldn’t place ds back there due to alleged ofsted report. The person from the college who communicated this with the local authority will not give any details including when they will have to report. Aibu to think the inspection may never have taken place? The report is not online either. I wouldn’t usually think an educational establishment would lie however this person at the college has been particularly unkind to my son.

They wouldn’t be able to lie about this as the LA would know which places have been OFSTEDed. An OFSTED report takes around 3-5 weeks to go online, so this may be where things are going wrong. Clearly this place can’t meet his needs and don’t care enough to try so why push him there? Maybe look at other colleges or charities that may do placements?

The college is in a different la. Our la have asked the college to produce the report as evidence which shows they have some doubt. he was doing really well until a member of the senior management changed. He’s bonded with staff and only has a year to go so a change wouldn’t be easy although we are looking into it.

Ofsted can even delay a bad report further than the expected 3-5 weeks if they think changes suggested can be implemented quickly (policy updating etc) and then the re-inspect.
A college that lied about having an osted would be in serious shite!!! Local authorities will be informed of problems before the full report goes public.

I worked at a private SEN school who had a terrible Ofsted report and given about a month to implement changes before being re-inspected. The local authorities suspended placements immediately after the initial report.

They haven’t shown the local authority the initial report just simply informed that it’s been done. It’s apparently both a social care and an education one done at the same time when they are usually done separately which makes it more unconvincing to me.
