Woke up this morning with my entire back in one big stitch! Literally wanting to scream with every inhale, DH had to go fetch some painkillers before work so I could get to the ensuite loo. Employer very understanding, but I have an unpostponable meeting at 1PM and HAVE TO get myself to work by then. Freaking out slightly... I'm not prone to this at all, I mean I have been known to get a very occasional crook in the neck, but this is madness!!! Completely out of nowhere!

I'M GOING HOME!!! WOOOHOOO!!! They said that ideally they'd like to keep me in, but they are strapped for beds and I seem like a sensible type. My sats are 96-98% and holding, I'm ready for tablet antibiotics and as long as I don't do anything stupid, I should be ok. Have to see the consultant again in autumn about that possible asthma and have to start my 5 year pneumococcal vaccine now rather than in my 60s, but I can cope with that. Yaaaay, I'm going home!!! Good news OP! Glad you're on the mend. Take it easy now. Flowers

Please take it easy, that cough is going to be around for a while, do not be a super hero and think you can do everything, washing, cooking, cleaning. Time for them to wait on you, so ensure they do.

Oh that’s great news! I’m glad you turned the corner. Now take it easy at home!

I'm glad you've been discharged to home and I hope you are resting, drinking fluids and being sensible! There's a lot of good treatments for asthma so take care!
