I’ve been split from my ex for 7 months after a 8 year relationship, how did you meet your partner? I met my ex drunkish at a protest but now have dd 2 years so not really drinking. Joined bumble dating but so far only smutty messages.

at work
at a social function
at a hobby

Most involves alcohol. Me, I'd seek out the rich ones and join the polo or cricket club jks (or am I ?)

@MyOpinionIsValid I’m checking at yacht clubs right now 😂 shame it’s so long until ski season lol I hope I don’t meet anyone when I start work in September my ex works there too! No social hobbies but will look for some events near me if anything good to get out and about really

As well as looking for date-oriented opportunities, take up a hobby where you will meet new people, including plenty of men, just to get your eye in (IYSWIM)

Running clubs have plenty of fit men, and are usually very welcoming to and encouraging of beginners (if you're not already a runner)

@AuntieStella I was actually thinking of starting up running although it’s frikiing high 30’s here until September now with it almost being hottest at night so it would have to be early morn so would need to convince ex to watch dd. Errgh was 37 today sweating balls and poor dd has heat rash on her nappy.
