To eat the biscuits?

LifeIsGoodish · 18/06/2019 16:05

A mystery parcel has arrived, addressed to me. No clues in the packaging. No clue in my Amazon order history.

Shall I eat the biscuits, or should I query it first? Could I be billed if it's some sort of mistake?

I would query it, but amazon tend to tell you to keep the item so I imagine you'll get to eat them eventually!

Gth1234 · 18/06/2019 16:07

Teacher thank you: Are you a teacher?

Teacher thank you: Are you a teacher?

No, though I work in a school.

Confused

It's an Amazon gift, someone has brought you those.

NaughtyNoraTheNamechanger · 18/06/2019 16:09

You should probably query it. However I would probably want to eat them as well.

KarmaStar · 18/06/2019 16:11

Can it be a gift from anyone who you've done a good turn for a just to say I love you?
A lovely surprise,I understand your dilemma!☺
Not knowing your personal circumstances,is who you live with, could it be for them,it's difficult to say.
Really you can either try not to open them for 48 hours or contact Amazon, make sure that they are for you and that your card or account hasn't been used to pay for them.
If nothing comes to light, tuck in and enjoyBrew

S1naidSucks · 18/06/2019 16:11

I have visions of you brushing biscuit crumbs off your top, while opening the door to a caller, who will then tell you that they used your name and address to get a surprise gift delivered for their wife/mum etc. 🤣

S1naidSucks · 18/06/2019 16:12

I’d be more worried about my asshole neighbours trying to poison me. 😁 Google the box online so you can tell if the box has previously opened.

CountArthursgroupie · 18/06/2019 16:13

Yes @Gth1234, it says that doesn't it? I would assume it's a gift 🎁 from a grateful parent who thought that a card or something would be included. That means you have to be nice to ALL the parents OP, in case it's them!

Oysterbabe · 18/06/2019 16:13

It's definitely a gift from someone you know. Eat them.

LifeIsGoodish · 18/06/2019 16:16

ShockShockShock

But they're biscuits!

OP posts:
theworldistoosmall · 18/06/2019 16:16

Eat them. Someone has sent you them.
Cannot see how a parent could send them to you though unless they know your address.

Leeds2 · 18/06/2019 16:17

Surely a child/parent at school wouldn't know your address?

I would phone Amazon to tell them that there may have been a mistake, and ask them to clarify who placed the order, or if there was a gift message which they have forgotten to include. That said, they probably won't tell you!

theworldistoosmall · 18/06/2019 16:19

Although disappointed you didn't do a vote thingy.

If you're really concerned, have an online chat with Amazon. I always do the online chat so I get a copy of the conversation.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 18/06/2019 16:23

YABU. They are clearly not for you. Forward them on to me and I'll sort the issue out for you.

LifeIsGoodish · 18/06/2019 16:26

How do you do a vote thingie?

OP posts:
LifeIsGoodish · 18/06/2019 16:27

Kettle's on - come over.

sacrecoeur0712 · 18/06/2019 16:27

Amazon are a bit rubbish at including gift messages on their orders. I've sent a few chocolate hampers and none of the recipients received the gift message I wrote.
I think this is a gift for you OP (so would eat the biscuits)

Jemima232 · 18/06/2019 16:31

I'd eat the evidence as quickly as possible, OP, then deny everything.

Treaclesweet · 18/06/2019 16:32

Oh I'm so jealous Envy

I want mystery biscuits!

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 18/06/2019 16:37

It's like the Friends mystery cheesecake! Grin

DontCallMeShitley · 18/06/2019 16:49

It's an Amazon gift, someone has brought you those.

Yes, the Amazon delivery driver brought them. What the OP wants to know is who bought them.

msmith501 · 18/06/2019 16:58

Looking at the label it seems to be a gift from someone at the school or a parent of someone at the school - it's from a range of good ideas for things to buy for a teacher or similar.

crispysausagerolls · 18/06/2019 17:03

Eaaaatttttttttt theeemmmmm. Yum.

Thingsthatgo · 18/06/2019 17:09

I doubt they could charge you for them. You have an excellent argument in that they were a gift, how on earth could you know that they weren’t intended for you?
