To think this fb post is so wrong??

Just scrolling through as you do...plenty of Father's Day posts. Then I come across this one. And I don't know if I'm being petty or not....asked dh and he just shrugged his shoulders and didn't know...

So this person I'm friends with on fb has been with her bf about 7/8 months now I'd say.

Her post was about how amazing her bf was as a step father to her 5 year old boy. That's fine.

But the picture that she posted was of her bf holding the child in one arm, they are both smiling. In the other arm he's holding a cup which says 'I heart anal'. The cup is deliberately being held up to be in the picture.

Why? I don't get it, it's not funny. Not to me anyway. Aibu to think this is quite wrong and disturbing?

I know it's not my business but who the hall would post a picture like this? Or even take this picture in the first place?

small2018 · 16/06/2019 22:41

Eurgh!

Laurajjj · 16/06/2019 22:42

Very bizarre, yes.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 16/06/2019 22:43

even as a joke that’s tasteless and inappropriate Confused

saraclara · 16/06/2019 22:44

Has anyone commented on the mug in response to her post?

I would. "Ermmm....unfortunate choice of mug there Confused"

StealthPolarBear · 16/06/2019 22:45

Are you sure its not analysis. I've bought a similar mug recently

brellas · 16/06/2019 22:51

Definitely not analysis. The font on the mug is small.

I ❤️
ANAL

is what it says. Thinking about it further, it probably is canal as the handle of the cup represents the C

Haha, get it now, hilarious 😂🙄😱

I get they were (maybe) trying for ironic, but it's just crass. I wouldn't be impressed if that was a fiend or family member of mine

brellas · 16/06/2019 22:53

@saraclara no comments yet. Only 6 likes and she has over 1500 fb friends

LoeweMulberry · 16/06/2019 23:29

I don't get it. Does anybody say ''I love canal''

brellas · 17/06/2019 08:05

@LoeweMulberry no but it's clearly hilarious to some

A prospective match on my dating site was wearing a baseball claim exclaiming "I heart sloppy anal"

My anal has never been sloppy, thank you very much.

CallieOMalley · 17/06/2019 22:54

But has your canal?!

BrianniStew · 17/06/2019 23:01

As others have said, surely the joke is nothing to do with canals, rather anal sex = no more babies?

I can't say that my sides are splitting but, although it's obviously deliberately bad taste, I'm not outraged either.

carla1983 · 18/06/2019 02:58

Oh dear. That is not classy at all.

Mummaofmytribe · 18/06/2019 03:47

Yuck

WillLokireturn · 18/06/2019 04:11

YANBU. I'd feel a bit disturbed too by that photo.

Also, a five year old is learning to read. "I heart Anal" mug is reading attempts that could wait quite a long number of years, rather than a curious child wanting to practice over the breakfast table.

dreygrey · 18/06/2019 05:17

Tacky.

HappyPeopleDay · 18/06/2019 14:32

Yuck. Serves her right if her child goes into school and tells the teacher that his new daddy likes anal.

I think I'd be unfriending.

thelastchicken · 18/06/2019 14:43

Why would anyone have a mug saying 'I love CANAL?' Confused

misses point of thread.

steppemum · 18/06/2019 14:48

I would be postig a comment
