-flies!
Where are they? I usually get a lot in my garden but this year there wasn't a single butterfly yet, few bees only and number of bumblbees. My garden is usually heaving with all of these.
What the hell are people spraying around? I might bloody just buy some.

And aphids are EVERYBLOODYWHERE including plants they are not supposed to eat normally.
Wth😑 And just 1 frog so far. Usually I have at least 4.

Come and moan with me about the lack of bugs and other creatures.

East Midlands here, our garden is bursting with life (and wasps) we have a huge pond that attracts an enormous amount of wildlife. Water stick insects, water scorpion too many others to mention also goldfish which youre not meant to have in a wildlife pond but ours copes just fine as we get Heron and Kingfisher too. We have loads of trees and plenty of places for creatures to hide and overwinter and dont tidy up too much. Unfortunately our neighbours either side spray, strim, mow and burn a lot and I find a lot of strimmer hedgehog casualties (dead). Had the usual early butterflies including a small blue that is too fast for me to photograph Smile

MitziK Lol at the “national collection of snails”. We have that but slugs. Over night I estimate 20 in one beer trap.
Found another two dead bumbles today we are making graves for our dead bumbles later. I have the urge to have one walk on my hand
