Wondering about putting makeup on my eyebrows

I'm not planning the full magic-marker effect because I know I would look an absolute twat. But I've just dyed my hair and, looking in the mirror, my eyebrows look pathetic - I think they've actually gone grey. (I am in my 50s.)
Can you buy subtle eyebrow stuff and is it easy to apply? Going to a party tonight...

Ha, yes the great eyebrow moment of getting older - lots of people don't notice this but as your eyebrows become more invisible, you look MUCH OLDER (I noticed it when my ageing parents met me off a 'plane once and they looked like old fogies - eventually, I realised it was because their eyebrows had gone grey/white and weren't visible. I never go out "without my eyebrows" as I look about 190 if I do. It used to be difficult but nowadays you can get really good eyebrow pencils that are soft (they always used to be hard things and made a thin line). I get one that has a spiral brush the other end so you can soften the effect once you have cautiously applied it in as natural a way as you can. You get better by trial and error.

I prefer pencils. You don't use them like a pencil and draw your eyebrows on. You just shade very softly and lightly until right shape and colour.

Have bought a Revolution pencil-with-mascara-brush, will experiment. Thanks again everyone.

Benefit Goof Proof is excellent and around £20. I know that isn’t cheap and you’ve already bought something, but for the future they often do free sample sizes in magazines (Elle or Marie Claire) which is how I discovered it. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for. In fact, I think they’ve got three different trial sized Benefit mascaras free with Elle at the moment, which are also really nice.

Use some Just For Men beard colour to tint your brows, works amazingly well. Affordable and effortless.
