Dfs sofa washing machine

Aibu? Have I gone crazy?

We have a grey Angelica sofa from dfs (bought many moons ago!)

I want to wash it and don't have a lot of time to hire someone to clean it as I'm due a baby any day. Would i be nuts to put the covers in the washing machine? I figured if I washed it on cold and some form of wool/delicate wash?

Talk me out of it if I'm being nuts because I'm on the verge of chucking a cover in to see what happens! 🙈

Well! The cover is out of the machine and I've put it straight back on the sofa just in case as it's more damp than soaking! Seems okay so far!!! I'm going to see what happens overnight as it dries and then do the rest tomorrow if all is well :-) feeling very relieved!!!

And yes to the pp weirdly exciting 😂🙈

We have the DFS Aurora sofa, washed the covers recently at 30 degrees and they were fine. Despite saying not to machine wash or dry clean (had them dry cleaned before too).

Just for the record in case anyone is thinking doing the same there is a better way than just throwing it in and hoping for the best. You should have a tab under your cushions of the same fabric the sofa is made for which is used for testing cleaning products on before putting then on your sofa. You can just snip this off or part of it and run it through the wash and see how it washes before you try the covers :)

Looking good!!! :-) all clean and no problems! It's dried really well too :-) I sprayed it with febreeze before bed in case it went a bit damp smelly.
