Aibu to go back to drs (foot pain)

My left foot is so incredibly painful. I think I injured it a few months back (fall and just assumed a bruise at first)

It hurts to walk and I now have a limp. It has been x rayed and a nurse looked quickly and said no broken bones.

It hurts especially if I tilt my foot to the side. E. G sitting on sofa with knees to side. Treading on ball of foot hurts. I can't even touch my foot in certain positions as pressure hurts it.

It's especially bad in stairs and first thing in morning. I can hardly move my foot. I have to hop downstairs. It's very stiff when I wake.

Any pressure on my little toe is mega painful all down the outside of foot

I was just walking and it clicked and instantly felt better. But it's done that before and it never stays better for long.

What now? Aibu to go back to dr? Would an osteopath be able to help?

It's starting to get me down. And hurt my knees and other ankle because I'm walking funny.

Anyone done anything similar?

Of course you should go back. It's getting worse. You may be referred for physio or another x ray.

It's especially bad in stairs and first thing in morning.

It's almost certainly plantar fasciitis, both from your description and the fact that the radiograph showed no broken bones.

I've had it too, back when I was running more. Try to see a podiatrist, but your GP should be able to dx and treat it. There's not much to be done about it but a steroid injection will bring down the pain and swelling while you work on more long term treatments.

It's always the worst in the morning because the plantar tightens up overnight when you're not stretching it by using it. Good luck and do try to get a cortisone injection for it.

Plantar fasciitis is so painful, especially first thing in the morning. When I had it my GP gave me a course of naproxen and told me to roll a can back and forth using the sole of my foot - it was cured!
