Climate change protests in Lewisham, Trump getting excited about an Iranian tanker, Boris Johnson to be prime minister, unusual levels of rain, landslide with commuters trapped for 8 hours, brexit, shutting down parliament touted as a feasible way forward. Am I alone in feeling that the quiet shared sense of impending doom seems to have ratcheted up a notch?

It does a bit... and yet I also cried myself to sleep as a child in the 80s worrying about nuclear war. (They really shouldn't have shown us Threads in 1st year)

When I was a youngster we all lived in the shadow of 'the bomb', the Vietnam war was going on which seemed endless; when it did eventually end we had the Irish troubles. Everyone was going on strike......the list is endless. One thing after another.
