To not ever want to exercise again!

We recently moved from a flat to a house, so I'm trying to use the garden to exercise as I have missed it.

Brought a really nice skipping rope and went to town about 10 minutes ago... got to 30 skips and all I did was leak wee, thought I'd persevere after going to the loo, nope, even then theres still loads to flood out of me!

Next door were right there and it was visible, I have ordered sanitary towels and think it's something to do with the pelvic floor?

But aibu to never exercise again, I am so ashamed :(

It's a shame to give up, maybe get some pelvic exercises or a GP consult and go from there. Are there some pads you can wear in the meantime for sport?

If I was your neighbour, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I've had a kid and I understand the issue with skipping (and jumping jacks).
All I would've thought is good on you for exercising.

YANBU to never want to exercise again, but exercise is exactly what's going to help you, and make it so that your next thread isn't

To not ever want to leave the house again!

I think there's even an app for that- freeappsforme.com/kegel-exercise-apps/

@Lovethetimeyouhave - just google kegel apps- and it probably wouldn't hurt to visit your GP.

You might want to try another form of exercise before you strengthen those muscles if it doesn't make you feel good to get on a trampoline and, well, have a bit of an accident. There are a number of great resources online for low impact workouts, you can just look up "30 minute beginner's pilates" or go to Fitnessblender.com and find things- I think if you stick with it, you should see a difference in 6-8 weeks.

(I work in fitness and nutrition, you're not doomed by any means!)

Sorry, skip rope, not trampoline, although I imagine you might have the same result.

It's really common to have stress incontinence after you've had a baby, but that doesn't mean you have to put up with it. Have a read of the suggestions here: www.nhs.uk/conditions/urinary-incontinence/, and please consider going to see your GP to see what help might be available.

Also the NHS has an app called Squeezy for doing pelvic floor exercises, that might be a good place to start.

I've got friends who have had great results by doing a Holistic Core Restore course.

I cheated and had the mesh - best thing I ever did.
