Listening to a podcast about the original Aladdin film and it got me thinking about all the great Disney songs.
I can’t chose between “Friend like me” from Aladdin or “Just can’t wait to be King” from Lion King or “Can you feel the love tonight” also from Lion King. Jason Derulo does a great rendition of the latter that always tears me up!

Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favourites.

BoneyBackJefferson · 10/06/2019 21:16

Moana - I am Moana (song of the ancestors)
Moana - We know the way
Hercules - Zero to hero

Iwantacookie · 10/06/2019 21:23

Opening song to brave no idea what it's called but it gives me goosebumps.
Let it go from frozen It makes me feel free.
Under the sea from the little mermaid. Just a fantastic song

Figgygal · 10/06/2019 21:28

Part of your world
I remember cycling round with it on my Walkman as a kid

Little mermaid will always be my favourite

ChickenTikkaTellMeWhatsWrong · 10/06/2019 21:33

Make a Man out of You, is my number one.
I also like When I'm Human from the Princess and the Frog.

Idontwanttotalk · 10/06/2019 21:42

Circle of Life from The Lion King.

ChristmasInJuly · 10/06/2019 21:45

Be Our Guest from Beauty & the Beast.
Anything from Aladdin.
And if we’re allowed Disney Pixar, I love Josh Gad’s “That Time of Year” from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. It’s so festive and happy, with a lovely message about each family having their own special little traditions at Christmastime.

MothershipG · 10/06/2019 21:45

Me - Moana - How far I'll go
DD - Princess & the Frog - Almost There

Buts that's just now , depends on the mood 😄

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 10/06/2019 21:47

I'll Make a Man out of You- Mulan.

Quartz2208 · 10/06/2019 21:50

I wont say Im in Love Hercules sung by Meg

Its not a strict Disney song though it was the opening and closing of the film but Never Knew I needed by Ne-Yo in Princess and the frog

ParanoidGynodroid · 10/06/2019 21:52

High Fives RozHuntleysIncineratedHand
I thought I was the only one who loved Hunchback!

OP, impossible question. There are too many great Disney songs.
The Roger Miller songs from Robin Hood are great "Oo De Lally" and "Not in Nottingham"

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 10/06/2019 21:56

Most of the songs from Lion King, Moana and Frozen. I also like World's Greatest Criminal Mind and Goodbye So Soon from Basil the Great Mouse Detective (best Disney film ever).

RaininSummer · 10/06/2019 21:57

Got to be The Bear Necessities. Closely followed by hakuna matata.

ParanoidGynodroid · 10/06/2019 22:01

Oh, and "Everybody wants to be a cat".

That cat jazz band were so cool!

Stravapalava · 10/06/2019 22:03

Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride from Lilo & Stitch
Shiny from Moana
Almost There from Princess and the Frog

Stravapalava · 10/06/2019 22:04

I do also love "What's This" from Nightmare Before Christmas if you can count that?

BurtTyrannosaurusMacklin · 10/06/2019 22:09

I love Proud Corazon from the end of Coco, all the music in that film is great but that one really gets me. Also love the songs from Moana.

ichifanny · 10/06/2019 22:10

I love Disney
Ok touch the sky from brave
I see the light from tangled
Wish upon a star from Pinocchio of course
I’ll make a man out of you Mulan

PissOffPeppa · 10/06/2019 22:12

Anything from Hunchback of Notre Dame

Absolutely! Massively underrated soundtrack, and film for that matter (except for the stupid gargoyles)

I saw the stage show in Germany and it was amazing. I so hope they bring it over to the UK.

DancerDan · 10/06/2019 22:13

The Gaston song
I'm not sure if it's actually called that but it's amazing

DancerDan · 10/06/2019 22:14

Also anything from Moana

BurntSausage · 10/06/2019 22:16

There are so many good ones! All the ones in Coco, particularly Un Poco Loco. I like to sing Let It Go very loudly to myself in the kitchen. And most of the Moana ones make me cry. Those are the films my DD is into at the moment so I get to hear them a lot so it’s probably swayed my opinion.

Custardandnoodle · 10/06/2019 22:18

Mary Poppins - Sister Suffragettes
"We're clearly soldiers in petticoats
And dauntless crusaders for woman's votes
Though we adore men individually
We agree that as a group they're rather stupid!
Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done, Sister Suffragette!"
From Kensington to Billingsgate
One hears the restless cries!
From ev'ry corner of the land:
"Womankind, arise!"
Political equality and equal rights with men!
Take heart! For Missus Pankhurst has been clapped in irons again!"

PianoTuner567 · 10/06/2019 22:28

Though I still like breaking femurs, you can count me with the dreamers....like everybody else, I’ve got a dream....

TwoleftUggs · 10/06/2019 22:29

Well it’s not from a film, but still a Disney song I guess - my favourite is ‘It’s a small world’. I went on that ride in 1992, the year the park opened in Paris and haven’t been able to get the damned tune out of my head ever since Grin
