I’ve never done a fun run before and am doing one with my son . I haven’t got any trainers and don’t want to buy any especially for this . I already will need to buy some sports trousers and a top . I do have crocs but would that be suitable ?

I’m sorry but this thread made me almost wet my pants laughing 😂

CROCS !?! LMAO !!!

Nip in a charity shop or supermarket - primark has plimsolls for £4 currently

That's just asking for osteo arthritis/bad knees, even for a walk.

Get trainers with a cushioned sole.

I don’t have anything suitable to wear at the moment . Only have jeans and a variety of tops . Only really wear boots or crocs .
I will go to primark and get some bits . I don’t exercise so don’t have these things . My son wanted to do the run which is why we are doing it :-)

If you have crocs already, I’d try and jog a bit in them and see how you get on?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 10/06/2019 21:52

Ummm there is an intetesting line in that article So I went back to Crocs. I haven’t worn anything else since (except for cross-country) and I’ve managed to stay injury-free

Even the gentleman advercating running in crocs wouldnt run in crocs for cross country - which colour run is.

Jimjamjong · 10/06/2019 21:59

Decathlon has cheap trainers (about 10-15£) and fine to run in. I was really surprised of how long they lasted me despite heavy use.

How could anyone run in crocs?! I can barely walk in mine; I’m always catching the front and tripping over. And they move around a lot. Crazy idea!
