AIBU to be worried?!

I think I might be pregnant.

I've had the exact symptoms of implantation bleeding two days ago and I'm due my period in 2-4 days.

Me and my partner use the pull out method (yes yes I know, don't start!) but we've not had much sex this month and none of it has been crazy drunk sex or anything, all sober and pretty sensible haha. I know it's possible to get pregnant like that, but it seems incredibly blooming unlikely! Think how hard two people who are actively trying to conceive have to work to make it happen, it can't be THAT easy, surely?

It definitely wouldn't be the end of the world if I was pregnant and I'd actually be really pleased, even if the timing isn't ideal. That said, I'm still worried!

What else could the implantation bleeding be? Is it ridiculous to be worried? Confused Did any of you conceive despite all the odds of the situation?

You only have a 20-30% chance of getting pregnant each month if it’s unprotected and timed with ovulation though Bling- so it’s not all bad

I conceived using the ‘pull out method’ the first time I EVER had sex. It can happen....trust me!

Itellpeopletogoogleit · 10/06/2019 14:59

Take a test, DUH!

shookennotstirred · 10/06/2019 15:01

Used condoms, still got pregnant so going to guess pull out method has higher chance!

TheVandalsTookTheHandles · 10/06/2019 15:02

Who the fuck uses the pull out method in this day and age?! Use contraception!

yourestandingonmyneck · 10/06/2019 15:18

It reads like you think you're less likely to get pregnant because you were sober? Confused

Crazy, drunk sex is no more likely to result in a pregnancy than sober "sensible" sex, whatever that is. By sensible I can only assume you mean "using the withdrawal method" properly.....in other words, still not using contraception.

But in answer to your question, count up the yes's and the no's on this thread and you will have your answer - that's how it works isn't it?

It really, really isn't. The pull out method works about 3/4 of the time.

yourestandingonmyneck · 10/06/2019 15:19

Also, conception is not a cumulative process. It doesn't matter how much sex you've had or not had this month Confused

@thevandalstookthehandles

The same kind of people who ask the Internet if they're pregnant instead of taking a test.

arganlady · 10/06/2019 17:47

I got pregnant using the pull out method.

BumandChips · 10/06/2019 17:56

You know you can get pregnant from having sex just one time, right? Hmm

ChesterDrawsDoesntExist · 10/06/2019 19:25

I'm sorry but if you aren't using real protection then you are actually TTC.

Pull out is not real protection. You very well may be pregnant.

And just because some people TTC for years, it doesn't mean that you would be unlikely to get pregnant. DH and I have always managed to conceive on my first cycle of trying. That's 4 pregnancies pretty much straight away. One was even a single one time event in almost 2 years or abstinence.
