To not know where to start with buying a new mattress

We have a super king size bed and for the past few months I have been waking up every morning with lower back pain which then disappears about 20 minutes after I get up.
I need a new mattress but don’t know where to start! Do I need a new divan bass too?
They range in price so much. Do you get what you pay for? I just want to be able to sleep without getting woken up in the early hours in pain.

After you've tested some mattresses instore, worth checking out online reviews.

Don't get a foam mattress - they're unbelievably hot to lie on. They're also doused in flame retardants because foam is highly flammable.

I can't recommend Emma mattresses enough, I think they are awesome!

I was like OP, i would wake up every morning with a sore back and only certain positions were comfortable, and even then only for 10 minutes. I was skeptical that a new one could solve it, but I read the Which reviews and thought I would give it a go and it has made an instant difference, i don't wake up with any pain at all now.

Delivery was pretty efficient, arrived when it said it would, comes in a tiny box and then springs open. I haven't tried it with our heated topper, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work as expected

I was looking at furniture in Oak furniture land and getting really confused so had a lie down on one of the beds ( was moving house and down sizing and furniture was top of my list, then a smaller mattress after).
Well,I've never felt a bed so comfy! Bought it there and then and eighteen months later still the best nights sleep.

Try an Eve mattress. So comfy, brilliant customer service and you can return after 100 days if you don’t like it.
