Mine are -

Starting to drive off, then putting your seat belt on whilst trying to control the car at the same time. Why? It can't save more than a second, looks awkward, and is dangerous!

Putting bananas into a little plastic bag before putting them in the trolley - the only reason I can see for the plastic bags is to keep loose veg together, or to keep edible parts clean, neither of which applies to bananas, so what's the point?

Taking shopping trollies back to the trolley park but not actually connecting them up with the ones already there - you've done about 95% of the effort, is it really that hard to make someone else's life a bit easier by putting it away properly?

( Yes, mine do seem to be mostly supermarket related but I suppose that's where I come across other people most of the time!)

Actually, I do have one non-supermarket one - people only using one half of a set of double doors when there is a queue of people all wanting to go through - they all line up patiently to go through the one door rather than just OPENING THE OTHER ONE!!

people who wear pyjamas as much as possible. I read of people getting changed into them as soon as they get home, from work etc. Once saw a post on here that said on weekends, they take their night pyjamas off and change into clean pyjamas for the day Confused I just don't get it, when I'm pyjamas in daylight I feel scruffy and lazy. put some clothes on!

Fruityb · 08/06/2019 08:54

My husband does the seatbelt thing and I hate it. He does it as a passenger as well and my car beeps while he’s not wearing it. Now I refuse to set off till he’s buckled in!

Skincare routines - some people spend a bleeding fortune and it’s all fads. Glycolic acid seems the new one.

People who think that Aldi make up is the same as the packaging they’ve ripped off. I’m on Mrs Gloss and the Goss and I love it but they do worship some shite on there. Everyone raves about a cheap dress on eBay so I thought I’d give it a go. I was delivered a shapeless lump of polyester I wouldn’t use as a table cloth!! The new Aldi make up looks like benefit and UD so must be identical! It really isn’t but they are so fished in!

Along the lines of the above “oh they make it in the same factory so therefore it must be just as good but weirdly isn’t as expensive; what fools!” - same factory does not equal same standards!

Game of thrones.

MidsomerBurgers · 08/06/2019 08:57

Letting children stand in supermarket trolleys. Unhygienic and stops you from putting more shopping in there.

Shopping trolleys are not hygenic anyway. There will be rats running and peeing over them at night and pigeons shitting on them in the day.

Mamalicious16 · 08/06/2019 08:57

I reverse in a space usually ask can see better when pulling out of a space.
The dog poo hanging on trees or dropping it on the floor in s plastic bag.
People in children's playgrounds smoking near the children.
Vaping - why does it have to be flavoured like raspberry etc - you wouldn't buy a pack of 20 cranberry Benson and hedges?!
Drivers who stop at a junction - look and THEN PULL OUT ON ME. WTF?

EvonneGoolagong · 08/06/2019 09:00

I don’t understand people dressing their children in identical clothes. Sort of get it for twins, and assume it must be because people are given the outfits as presents, but when it’s different ages I think it just looks odd!

wichitalinemanswoman · 08/06/2019 09:00

Religion. Just don't get it.

tiedy · 08/06/2019 09:01

The seatbelt thing my DH does it annoys me too, and insisting on waiting for a space close to the shops instead of parking a little further away!

I always reverse park. I find it hard to get the angle right going in front first. It's much much easier when reversing.

I don't get why people use the snooze function. I'd much rather sleep peacefully until the time I have to get up than disturb myself repeatedly.

WindsweptEgret · 08/06/2019 09:03

I don't get why anyone would go to Sainsburys on a Saturday when they'll bring the stuff right to your house for you. The minimum spend is £40 isn't it? There's just the two of us so we don't spend that much.

ginghamtablecloths · 08/06/2019 09:03

Doing up the seat belt whilst moving off is very commonplace - I think it's done mainly by over-confident drivers or those who learned when they weren't compulsory. When I learned ten years ago I was taught that it's the very first thing to do - and I've stuck with it as it's a habit which is ingrained in me.

In the back seat of a car I've often struggled to do up the belt while the driver has careered off.

When putting a new loo roll out some people don't bother to undo the end - why not? It makes it difficult to find. Likewise tissues, I always pull the corner of the next one out a bit to make it easier to retrieve. No-one else seems to do this - but then I'm a fusspot. Not doing these things are like only doing half the job.

slipperywhensparticus · 08/06/2019 09:05

Poor people who vote conservative I mean why? Do you not like eating?

Jsmith99 · 08/06/2019 09:07

Spending money they haven’t got to buy stuff they don’t need. I’m awake that i’m in the minority about this, however, because debt-fuelled consumerism appears to be a national pastime.

SayWhaaat · 08/06/2019 09:08

Those number/how many triangles quizzes on Facebook where there's never an official answer given - why bother?!

slipperywhensparticus · 08/06/2019 09:10

I get the dressing kids in identical clothing because if one runs off you can tell the staff what they were wearing by checking the other one Grin I was so paranoid my daughter (pfb) would get lost i would dress her like me but the opposite? So I had black trousers pink top she was pink trousers black top Confused by the time I had my sons technology had progressed to the degree that I can snap a picture before we go any issues I know what they are wearing I consider this progress Hmm

bibbitybobbityyhat · 08/06/2019 09:10

Trowelling on the makeup - it never looks good. Lip fillers, false eyelashes, fake tan, acrylic nails - all of it makes me wince.

toomuchtooold · 08/06/2019 09:11

People who put a set amount of money's worth of petrol into the car, rather than just filling it till it's full. Like I get it if you're skint you might just put 5 quid's worth in or whatever, but no there are loads of people who try to hit a round number, just because. I saw a talk on it once by someone at Google. He said you can see little artificial peaks in the data at £10, £20, £30 and so on and then smaller ones at £5, £15, £25, then smaller ones at the even numbers, then smaller still at the odd numbers (like £13.00) - then ever smaller but still visible peaks at 50p, then at the nearest 10p, and even when you go down to actual pennies, there's still a slight uptick on the even numbers, so like if someone has just put £37.43 or whatever worth of petrol in their car there are a statistically significant number of people who will nudge the nozzle to try and get £37.44. He said in the lecture, half of you will be laughing in recognition and half of you will be shaking your head. I was definitely in the head shaking camp.

giddyyup · 08/06/2019 09:13

I've got one that's happening right now.

In a cafe waiting for breakfast- was the only customer until a couple with a kid come in and sit right next to me when they've got the whole restaurant to choose from. Go away!

SkydivingKittyCat · 08/06/2019 09:14

Selfies. In part combined with social media.

I can (almost) understand the odd one or two. What annoys me is firstly people who will post 10 almost identical selfies. Why?! But what I don't understand is people who go to incredible holiday destinations and take selfies where the location/incredible view/amazing landmark is totally unidentifiable and their entire collection of holiday snaps are close ups of their own face. In 10 years time they'll never know which ones belonged to which holidays.

Oh and yoga poses by the pool. I have a specific friend who is the culprit for those. Why?!

Phoningliz · 08/06/2019 09:16

People who allow their children to chase pigeons, ducks etc.

People who park on the pavement rather than have to walk from a parking space, meaning that pedestrians have to divert on to the road.

cshelp · 08/06/2019 09:16

YES to the person who said online shopping, I honestly do not get why anyone puts themselves through the hell of a weekly supermarket shop.

Gran22 · 08/06/2019 09:18

Lip fillers. I thought it was just me that disliked them.

People who smell of really stale smoke sitting next to me on the bus.
People who smell of anything bad sitting near me on the bus!

Loud bass music from cars in built up areas

JustHereforHarriet · 08/06/2019 09:19

Bottomlie I’m glad you said that! That post confused the hell out of me!

I don’t get air fresheners. I mean, I know they smell lovely but they generally only mask smell and they’re so full of chemicals it hardly seems worth it.

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 08/06/2019 09:20

I have a family member who sends me selfies, selfies of her daughter etc. Sometimes I don’t know what to reply (what are you meant to say?!) so I often don’t reply, then she messages again to ask why I haven’t replied.

I don’t get it. I would never think to send someone a photo of my face.

Stravapalava · 08/06/2019 09:20

Drivers who stop at a junction - look and THEN PULL OUT ON ME. WTF?

So much yes! And then beep and gesticulate at you, as if you're the one in the wrong!!

pictish · 08/06/2019 09:22

Drinking as a pastime. I’ve never taken to alcohol. Not for any moral reasons...just don’t like it. Tastes horrible and makes you feel ill the next day. I don’t not drink...but it’s only now and then. I’m mostly completely disinterested in it.

Boysey45 · 08/06/2019 09:22

People smoking weed whilst driving.I smell and see it all the time, even at 7 am in the morning. So its alright to put everyone on the road at risk because its not drinking?
People trying to push on the bus before the others have got off.Total ignorance this one.
