I'm looking for jewellery that's a bit more stand out and not just the standard pieces you find in most shops.
Preferably silver or white gold. Just something different and unusual but not outlandish or crazy.

The wearer is very much into nice noticeable pieces but not ostentatious and I'm not into jewellery that much so don't know where to look.

It's going to be a gift so nice presentation would be a great bonus.

Budget around £200-£250.

I'm hoping some lovely vipers would know where to look?

My friend Wendy is the jeweller and she makes some beautiful pieces

I love Sheila Fleets jewellery.

Some of these are unusual www.japa.guru/product-category/silver-gemstone-jewellery/

Thank you those who recommended Sheila Fleet - I've just bought a bluebell necklace for my daughter's wedding in honour of her nan - bluebells were her favourite flower x Smile

Maya Magal - mayamagal.co.uk
I've bought a few unique pieces from there and they're all handmade.

RedPink · 06/06/2019 20:07

Does it have to be a surprise? I think it would be very difficult to chose a noticeable item for someone else. Might a gift certificate be more appreciated?

I'm seconding the recommendation for Tessa Metcalfe. I have quite a few pieces from her, including a bespoke necklace she made for me with some gems I bought elsewhere. I always get lots of compliments when I wear her jewellery. I often wear one of her necklaces when I fly and both cabin crew and lounge reception staff positively swoon over the necklace. I'm starting to think I should be on commission. Wink I do actually know Tessa as she used to share a workshop with some of my friends (before she opened up her own shop around the corner). She does some edgy pieces that are unique but not too outrageous.

Alternatively, have a look at Tohum Design who do some very modern and stylish handmade pieces and are starting to hit the big time in the fashion world. You can find them on Net-A-Porter.

Or there's lots to choose from at London Rocks, all handmade by British based designers (this is my friends' studio where Tessa Metcalfe used to work):

Cara Tonkin does some lovely modern but art deco inspired pieces, all handmade in her Brighton studio:

Jeanne Marell handmakes some very modern interesting pieces - by day she's a product designer for some very big names and is an utter perfectionist. Might be a little out of your price range but worth a look:

That’s lovely @unmanned, hope she loves it Flowers

Was just coming on to recommend Maya Magal! Really beautiful pieces, and very reasonably priced as well. I am really liking her birthstone range at the moment.

Tom Foolery, Muswell Hill

Tiffany sterling silver range is the price bracket you want.

It is very very overpriced though. 75% of the price is for the blue box and bag.

Daisypie · 06/06/2019 21:31

Have a look at kalevela jewellery. Finnish.

Crunchymum · 06/06/2019 21:41

Why the name change OP?

HarryBob · 06/06/2019 21:52

The Pommier www.thepommier.com stock a lot of different designers with unique pieces of jewellery that is within your price range, I’ve got some nice stuff from there

This is my current favourite designer - Lovebird

She has a lot more than on her Etsy page if you can make it to her stall in Croydon, or shop on Isle of Wight - or you can message & ask.
Kirsty is lovely & I have lots of her pieces.

Hope you find something OP

AdoraBell · 25/06/2019 10:40

Have you found anything OP?

VivienneHolt · 25/06/2019 10:43

I don't think £200 is going to give you stand out jewellery.

Ignore snobbish tripe like this - some people refuse to believe that money and taste aren’t the same thing!

I second the Sheila Fleet recommendation, I love her pieces. Or perhaps Monica Vinader?

Saz41 · 25/06/2019 22:52

Mine Silver is lovely.

HypatiaCade · 25/06/2019 22:57
