3 times recently I’ve been asked to complete a patient survey.
Once was following a doctors appointment, once after a short procedure and once when I had to call about a phone call I made following a fine that was mistakenly sent to me.
All 3 were situations where the issue was resolved and the appointment was very pleasant and I had expressed my satisfaction with the service. At that point I was asked to complete a patient survey
On the other hand I have had several times with my children where I didn’t feel the service was satisfactory and on those occasions was not asked to complete a survey.
My AIBU. Is, is it appropriate or a good representation when the provider can select who they ask to complete the survey. If they only select the patients who are likely to give a positive evaluation, then surely the survey outcome is massively statistically biased and inaccurate
My issue is not with the NHS, who in general provide a fantastic service. Just wondering how inaccurate research is of any benefit to then.
